Aly Moon and Nicholas Woody: Apocalypse is a Chill Dude - Uncanny X-Men 18

Want to listen to this episode ad-free? Visit our Patreon! Welcome true believers to X-Men Horoscopes where each week our host Lodro Rinzler is in conversation with a special guest to discuss the X-Men issue that aligns with a significant month and year from their life and what that issue reveals about their future. This week on the show we have cosplay couple Aly Moon and Nick Woody to discuss their anniversary issue, a Gail Simone jam (Uncanny X-Men 18) where the well-intentioned mutant "Friendship Festival" goes sideways...and what that means for the future of their relationship. We play the X-Newlywed Game (how could we not?) and also on this episode: Wolverine throws up on Ferris wheels Horse Girl has a bad night Nightcrawler has a nice day The most on fire hospital Jubilee needs a better publicist What does any of this mean for their future as a soon-to-be married couple? Tune in to find out! Aly Moon (@Alymoonnn) is a Tennessee-based cosplayer, nail artist, lifelong Marvel nerd, and proud X-Men enthusiast. When she’s not bringing superheroes to life through cosplay or creating nerdy nail art, she’s probably found in her garden (because every good mutant needs a soft, earthy side too). Nicholas Woody, also known as TheComicCosplayer, is an extremely passionate cosplayer who loves bringing characters to life. Nightcrawler, Sentry, Ash Williams, and Mister Miracle are just a few examples of his portrayals. From horror movies like Evil Dead and The Shining, to comics such as Moon Knight, the new Marvel Ultimate Comics, and DC Black Label/Vertigo, and even gaming titles like Marvel Rivals and Dead by Daylight, to fandom-related content creation, Nicholas has fully embraced the geek lifestyle. When he's not traveling, creating, gaming, or thrifting, Nicholas enjoys the convention scene! Once a theater kid, always a theater kid—Nick’s love for cosplay evolved from his love for acting and theater. Cosplay allows you to be whoever you want to be rather than hoping to play the role you want, which really drew him to the hobby. Formerly based in Texas, and now residing in central Tennessee, Nicholas looks forward to a bright future with his fiancé Aly as they share their passions together in geekdom.
