Jaspreet Singh: Why Most People Stay Broke (Follow THIS 7-Step System to FINALLY Stop Living Paycheck-to-Paycheck!)

Money doesn’t define you, it reveals what you value, what you understand, and whether your choices are leading to freedom or confinement.   Jay sits down once again with entrepreneur and financial educator Jaspreet Singh for a comprehensive conversation about money, mindset, and the systems that quietly shape our financial realities. Jay opens up about how success, comparison, and social pressure distort our relationship with wealth, while Jaspreet challenges the idea that financial struggle is purely personal failure. Together, they unpack why so many people work hard yet feel stuck, caught in a cycle they were never taught how to escape, and why the first step to financial freedom isn’t earning more, but really understanding the rules of money.   Jay and Jaspreet lay out a clear, practical framework for building financial stability, from redefining money as a tool rather than a measure of self-worth, to understanding debt, investing, and the habits that keep people broke. Jaspreet breaks down complex ideas into simple, actionable steps, emphasizing the importance of having emergency savings, intentional spending, and long-term ownership over short-term appearances.   Together, they explore how artificial intelligence is accelerating inequality between those who understand it and those who ignore it, and why learning to use AI is becoming essential across every industry. Rather than chasing fast money or quick wins, they encourage listeners to focus on education, adaptability, and patience, building systems that serve their values, protect their families, and create lasting impact.   In this interview, you'll learn: How to Break the Paycheck-to-Paycheck Cycle How to Treat Money as a Tool, Not Your Identity How to Build a $2,000 Safety Net Fast How to Separate Spending, Saving, and Investing How to Use AI to Get Ahead at Work and in Business How to Build Wealth Without Chasing Fast Money   If money has ever felt overwhelming, confusing, or out of reach, this is your reminder that nothing is “wrong” with you, you were simply never taught the rules. Small decisions, repeated consistently, have the power to change not just your finances, but the way you see your future. Want smarter money insights without the noise? MEL ROBBINS: How to Stop People-Pleasing Without Feeling Guilty (Follow THIS Simple Rule to Set Boundaries and Stop Putting Yourself Last!)

Jay is joined on stage at Boston’s Wang Theatre by his longtime friend Mel Robbins, in front of a packed live audience. Their shared history allows them to speak openly and honestly about the pressure to be liked, the fear of being misunderstood, and how easily we lose ourselves trying to meet other people’s expectations. Mel’s superpower is her ability to choose herself in moments when giving up or staying small feels safer. Mel shares the hard truths she’s learned about self-criticism, people-pleasing, and why waiting to feel “ready” keeps us stuck. Jay reflects on how constantly judging and fixing ourselves pulls us away from our inner life, and why real growth starts with awareness and self-respect. Mel also talks about how many of her biggest changes came from desperation, not confidence, and Jay reframes jealousy, fear, and failure as signs that something meaningful is trying to emerge. In this episode, you'll learn: How to Stop Letting Other People’s Opinions Run Your Life How to Quiet Your Inner Critic When Stress Takes Over How to Unlearn the Self-Criticism You Were Taught Growing Up How to Stop Waiting to Feel “Ready” to Start Living Your Life How to Break the Habit of People-Pleasing Without Guilt How to Use Jealousy as a Clue Instead of a Curse How to Keep Going When Desperation, Not Confidence, Is Driving You Life doesn’t change all at once. It changes when you choose to speak to yourself with kindness, honor your needs, and take the next step even when you’re afraid. Grieving the Future You Imagined with Dr. Maya Shankar

Who are you when the thing that defined you is taken away? What happens when the life you planned no longer exists? How do you grieve a future that never happened? Can uncertainty become a place of growth instead of fear?   In this deeply moving episode of A Really Good Cry, Radhi sits down with cognitive scientist and author Dr. Maya Shankar for an honest conversation about identity, loss, and navigating life’s most unexpected transitions. Dr. Maya is the author of The Other Side of Change: Who We Become When Life Makes Other Plans, a book rooted in both science and lived experience.   Maya shares the story of her childhood as a violin prodigy — accepted into Juilliard at nine and studying under Itzhak Perlman — until a career-ending injury at fifteen forced her to grieve not just the violin, but the version of herself she thought she would be. She opens up about how losing the violin meant losing her confidence, her identity, and the future she had built her entire life around.   She also speaks candidly about her fertility journey, including miscarriage, surrogacy, and the realization that some desires are shaped by cultural expectations of womanhood. Maya reflects on how choosing to pause her path to motherhood brought unexpected peace and clarity.   Radhi shares her own experiences of identity loss — from moving to New York and no longer being able to practice as a clinical dietitian, to navigating grief after the peaceful passing of her grandmother. Together, they explore how identity can unravel when the “what” of our lives changes, and why anchoring ourselves in why we do things allows us to evolve without losing ourselves.   In this episode, you’ll learn: Why identity rooted in roles and achievements is fragile How grief shows up when we lose a future we imagined The difference between what you do and why you do it Why humans crave certainty — and how to live without it How to find safety in community instead of clear answers What the “end of history illusion” reveals about personal growth How mental time travel can help ease anxiety and fear Why witnessing human goodness can restore hope and meaning   This episode is a gentle reminder that change doesn’t mean something went wrong — sometimes it means life is asking you to become more than you planned. 376. 7 tips for moving to a new country in your 20s

Moving to a new city is one of the most exciting (and emotionally challenging) things you can do in your twenties. Whether it’s for work, study, love, or a fresh start, leaving behind what’s familiar often brings a mix of freedom, fear, loneliness, and growth all at once. It’s a rite of passage, but that doesn’t mean it’s easy. In this episode, I’m sharing my personal experience of moving cities multiple times in my 20s, including moving internationally for the first time, alongside the psychology that explains why this transition feels so destabilising—and what actually helps. We explore:• Why moving increases stress, emotional exhaustion, and homesickness• Why it takes around 6 months to truly adjust to a new city• The role of routine, repetition, and place attachment in feeling settled• Why “going home too often” can slow down adjustment• How novelty, social effort, and structure protect mental health during transitions If you’ve just moved, or are thinking about it, this episode will help you feel less alone, more grounded, and more confident that what you’re feeling is normal, temporary, and part of the process. Cozy Treehouse Rain Sounds, Thunder & Crackling Fireplace for Sleep, Study, Meditation

The calmness of a rainy day in a cabin is so relaxing, but have you ever been in a treehouse on a rainy day with a luxurious fireplace? Imagine being in a beautiful jungle in a gorgeous treehouse and it starts to rain and all you have to do is make hot chocolate, with some comfort food while listening to a fireplace. How amazing. Or, you can meditate in your treehouse as the rain comes down in the middle of the jungle. This soundtrack combines a lot of soothing elements: rain, thunder, and fire crackling to make you relax in the best possible way. I know all the sounds to some may be a lot of sounds, but the melody of the sounds is really quite relaxing.

Finishing Things: How to Actually Complete What You Start (And Keep Promises to Yourself)

What if starting something new isn’t the real challenge—but finishing it is? Why do so many projects, goals, and ideas die in the “messy middle”? What if completing a task isn’t just about willpower, but about shifting who you are at a deeper level? Are you a person who loves beginnings but avoids endings—or could you train yourself to finish with ease? In this episode of A Really Good Cry, Radhi Devlukia explores the gap between starting and finishing. Drawing from science, Ayurveda, and her own life, she explains why our brains crave novelty but resist follow-through—and how to move from the dopamine rush of beginnings to the serotonin stability of completion. Through honesty, practical tools, and gentle insight, Radhi guides listeners to shift identity, build momentum, and cultivate the discipline needed to see projects through—all while learning to celebrate small wins along the way. In this episode, you’ll learn: Why starting is easy but finishing is hard—and how your brain tricks you How to turn “too many open drawers” into actionable focus Tools to create micro-finish lines and train your boredom muscle How to shift from being a “starter” to a “finisher” Ways to make progress sustainable, consistent, and personally rewarding This isn’t about working harder—it’s about finishing smarter.   Follow Radhi: https://www.instagram.com/radhidevlukia/ https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCxWe9A4kMf9V_AHOXkGhCzQ https://www.facebook.com/radhidevlukia1/ https://www.tiktok.com/@radhidevlukia See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Feel Stuck, Confused, or Behind? Use THIS Blueprint and Completely Transform Your Life in ONE Year!

Real change doesn’t happen all at once, It’s built through quiet, repeated choices most people never notice. In this episode, Jay challenges the idea that transformation requires motivation or perfect timing, revealing instead that lasting change is created through systems, structure, and intentional design. He explains why most people stay stuck year after year, not because they lack discipline or talent, but because they rely on hope when what they need is strategy. Jay walks us through a practical blueprint for lasting transformation, beginning with reshaping your environment so the right habits become your default. From upgrading your identity to mastering one skill that can reshape your confidence, career, and self-belief, he shows how small improvements compound over time. Drawing on psychology, neuroscience, and real human stories, Jay reframes success as consistency over perfection, choosing discipline when motivation fades and stepping into who you’re meant to become. In this episode, you'll learn: How to Change Your Life by Redesigning Your Environment  How to Make Good Habits Your Default  How to Use Fear as a Signal to Take Action How to Break Big Goals Into Four Powerful Seasons How to Transform Your Life by Serving Others This year isn’t about becoming someone else, it’s about becoming more of who you already are, with better systems, healthier boundaries, and stronger habits to support you. Progress won’t be linear, and that’s okay. What matters is staying committed to the direction, not the speed. Every effort counts, even the ones no one sees.  With Love and Gratitude, Jay Shetty Join over 750,000 people to receive my most transformative wisdom directly in your inbox every single week with my free newsletter.
