We pick up right where she crashes Yeon-jin's award ceremony, and Yeon-jin has the absolute audacity to slap her. The nerve! We also get a front-row seat to Jae-joon's nasty temper, plus we learn that Myeong-oh has been quietly keeping tabs on all his so-called friends. Then Dong-eun officially clocks in as Ye-sol's teacher, cue to another explosive showdown with Yeon-jin. And just when you think it can't get wilder, we learn about their homeroom teacher's brutal death and exactly who did him in. Plot twist! Dong-eun leads Myeong-oh straight to a morgue where their classmate So-hee lies waiting. And then, finally, we get to our favorite moment: Dong-eun sits down across from Do-young for a game of Go. Iconic. This episode is packed with tangents (just the way y'all like it), and we're doing a deep dive into our best villain of all time: the one, the only, Yeon-jin, played by the incredible Lim Ji-yeon.     Welcome to YOUR Korean podcast drama! We're back with reactions to the Perfect Crown finale, AND WE HAVE THOUGHTS. These last episodes felt rushed and disjointed. The show tried to cram a season's worth of payoff into too little runway, and 12 episodes was simply not enough room for the character development this story deserved. OK, deep breaths, here we go… Hui-joo and Aide Choi save I-an from the deadly fire, and Hui-joo finally starts suspecting PM-nim — meanwhile he's already plotting to transfer I-an's regency to the Queen while our boy is still unconscious. The Queen confesses that her father tried to kill I-an, and our prince wakes up ready to ABOLISH THE MONARCHY. What?! Then the PM has the AUDACITY to threaten the Queen (he'll frame the baby King as a criminal) but she records the whole thing (TROPE TRACKER!). Hui-joo exposes his dastardly plans at a royal meeting, which gives us a tearful confrontation between I-an and the PM. The country votes to abolish the monarchy, we time-jump 3 years, Hui-joo is back at Castle Group, I-an is learning to cook (??), and we close on a kiss cam at a Castle Group baseball game. Ok… We had SO much fun reacting to Perfect Crown, even if the finale broke our hearts in the wrong way. We're thinking about doing it again for The Royal Nemesis — what do y'all think?
