Wow! What a journey and an outstanding job from Damien Shields and his research team! They cover all sides of the story, giving every party’s opportunity to tell their side of the story (& multiple opportunities for the more “stubborn” people involved) of the world’s biggest music fraud. Your podcast and thoroughness with this story, and the team’s endeavour to get all sides of the story for a clear picture is so admirable! I have loved it so much & I will definitely support with a Faking Michael book purchase! Usually, podcasts don’t have much “replay” value for me, but I will definitely be re-visiting this one multiple times. Bravo, Mr Shields! PS: Dan Villalobos’ soundtrack really has you bopping and grooving along to such an intense scenario each episode. Bravo, Dan!

You cannot give enough praise to this audio documentary. A true crime story, a true investigative journalism piece, uncovering a modern day fraud at the expense of the best selling entertainer of all time, this podcast is a must-listen regardless of your opinion on Michael Jackson. The way this podcast pieces together what happened is at a level of professionalism and integrity I have never seen or heard before. This could and should be made for TV, and the frauds exposed to the world they tried to fool. The audio equivalent of a page-turner, Faking Michael is the best podcast you will hear this year and perhaps this decade. Great work, Damien!

The podcast itself jumps around quite a lot which makes it difficult to follow exactly what’s being talked about at times and it also repeats a lot of things/facts that don’t really need to be repeated but other then that, it’s really interesting and I like how they back up everything talked about with facts. I love a good deep dive on topics/artists/bands I follow so I still highly recommend giving this a listen if such a topic as the “Michael” album interests you as well.
