BEST TRUE CRIME POD I have listened to copious true crime pods for over 10 years and nothing comes close to IC. Michael’s story telling abilities and the way he chooses to educate his audience about these crimes keeps me captivated from start to finish. When the option came for a WHOLE MONTH free trial for a subscription I jumped at the chance and have been literally bingeing 4-5 eps a day to get the most out of the trial. I’m going to be devastated when I have to go back to waiting each week. Eventually when I’m living above the poverty line I’ll be purchasing a subscription. I love you guys so much - don’t ever change. Thank you for always telling these crimes in such a captivating and respectful way.

The content is well researched and presented in a respectful and measured manner. The episodes are a good length and well detailed. It loses a couple of stars for me because the writing is extremely verbose and repetitive - like an essay struggling to make up the word count. Paired with the rhythmic cadence of the host’s way of speaking, it’s easy to tune out because the descriptions become redundant. Tidying up the script (keep the detail, lose the superfluous verbosity e.g. you don’t need to say something stopped “quickly and abruptly”, or repeat the same point phrased in four different ways) would pull this to a 5 star production.
