I am Christi Hattingh, a practicing advocate, entrepreneur, and private business owner with a passion for challenging and improving systems. I believe that failures and struggles shape us, and it’s through these experiences that we grow and learn. My mission is to bring about a genuine, sustainable transformation in the profession. I am focused on empowering and developing the next generation of legal leaders. Many young people today face significant barriers to entering the profession, and I advocate for a new approach to mentorship—one that ensures those who are less fortunate than we were are given the guidance and opportunities they need to succeed. Lawyers are society’s leaders, and the younger generation of lawyers are the future. If we fail to support and nurture them, we fail society. The future of our profession and country will be shaped by what we teach today. Mastery in law depends on strong role models who provide mentorship and transfer essential skills.
