    Don't Call Me An "Influencer"

    Don't Call Me An "Influencer"

It's been another tumultuous week in Parliament, with more politicians behaving badly and more questions about the culture within the 'Canberra Bubble'. The Prime Minister has called for kindness, but can politics ever be kind?

Plus, a listener dilemma from a young woman whose job isn’t bringing her joy. Is that what jobs are meant to do?

And, things you might not know about why the people you follow on Instagram do the things they do...

    Not Now, Omicron

    Not Now, Omicron

Over the weekend, we saw hysteria being whipped up by a bunch of headlines that weren't exactly helpful. We're here to make you feel a bit better about this new variant, discussing what we actually know so far and why it isn't the end of the world...yet.

Plus, what does age-appropriate dressing look like in 2021? Holly is recovering from a mutton-lamb 'shaming' that we need to unpack.

And why everyone is talking about an Aussie influencer's wedding...specifically, a fresh twist on an old tradition.

Can I Please Date Your Ex-Boyfriend?

Can I Please Date Your Ex-Boyfriend?

The Bachelorette Finale was last night and if you didn’t watch it, don’t worry, neither did we. But there is one bach-related relationship that’s making headlines and it brings us to quite the moral dilemma. Is it ever ok to date your friend's ex?

Plus, we're being told that 'strong is the new skinny'. But is it just diet culture rebranded?

And, our best and worst of the week, which includes eyebrows and consent.

It's Called Being A God Damn Bloody Adult

It's Called Being A God Damn Bloody Adult

Independent senator Jacqui Lambie made headlines for all the right reasons yesterday when she delivered a scathing speech, blasting Pauline Hanson’s vaccine discrimination bill. It was followed by her private phone number being leaked by a politician. What is doxxing and why is it on the rise?

Plus, the mysterious story of Princess Charlene of Monaco has taken another turn this week, and it isn’t great.

And, there’s a new type of celebrity boyfriend you’re seeing everywhere... It’s the rise of the manic pixie dream boyfriend.

The D*ck Pic That's Divided The Nation

The D*ck Pic That's Divided The Nation

In case you missed it, Tim Paine has stepped down from his role as Captain of the Australian Cricket team. His resignation is in the wake of a series of 2017 texts between Paine and a female colleague being leaked to the media. So what actually happened? And why should this be less of a story about dick pics, and more of a discussion about unsolicited, non-consensual encounters?

Plus, imagine stuffing up so badly at work, that one of the most famous people in the world gets you suspended from your job.

And, is it possible to be a mental health advocate and support cancel culture? Hugh Sheridan doesn't think so.

What We Know About William Tyrrell

What We Know About William Tyrrell

The biggest story in Australia this week is around the continuing search for William Tyrell. It’s seven years since the three-year-old vanished from a NSW home.  After what has felt like an eternity, this week it seems police are getting closer and closer to finding out what really happened. So who better to break it all down for us than Claire Murphy, news expert, host of The Quicky, and someone who’s kept a close eye on this story for most of the past decade.

Plus, we need to talk about the trailer for a new comedy called Pam & Tommy and why it’s making people very, very angry.

And, our best and worst of the week, including November brain and a convention for twins.

How did I not know about this……

Amazing.
Like a warm hug and coffee with your besties, while working from home bored AF….
Interesting topics, clever, insightful and I love that they don’t need to agree with each other.
Everytime I recommend to a friend, they tell me they already subscribe 🥰

L'Oréal - give me a break

Mia promotes L'Oréal. A few weeks later L'Oréal sponsors the show (29/11). Enough with the subterfuge - if promoting products of a long term sponsor even if that particular ep wasn't sponsored, this relationship should be declared. More importantly, do Mia and team need photos of the abuse L'Oréal carries out in the name of animal testing to make them rethink this relationship? Shocking to unnecessarily use / take money from this company.
Also today's ep - 30 mins short and that is with ads, a useless beginning about pronouncing the easily pronounced "Omicron" and another self promotion of another MM podcast. Was this the shortest ep on record?
And note to Jessie - you seriously cannot have not known that men could take a female partners surname on marriage? Not sure why you play this inauthentic "I'm not smart" card sometimes.
