The Aussie Man Who Broke Donald Trump

The Aussie Man Who Broke Donald Trump

Have you ever noticed that no one ever asks President Donald Trump follow up questions in interviews? Well, that’s exactly what US-based Australian journalist Jonathan Swan did in what has been declared ‘the greatest Trump interview ever.’ Jessie recaps.

Also, why should anyone have kids? After watching Mike Birbiglia’s Netflix special, Jessie’s thinking it sounds like a terrible idea. Will Holly and Mia manage to convince her otherwise?

Plus, are we cancelling Ellen Degeneres for not being nice? We discuss.

In Tough Times, We're Bonding Over An Ugly House

In Tough Times, We're Bonding Over An Ugly House

The word ‘despair’ would not be an overstatement when it comes to how Melburnians are feeling at the moment as they enter into Stage 4 of lockdown. The numbers are scary and restrictions are severe. So, how are Victorians coping?

Also, we need to talk about supermodel Gigi Hadid’s house. The Internet can’t stop yelling about how ugly it is, while Mia is convinced her taste is ‘impeccable’.

Plus, some positivity during the pandemic. We’re sharing the things that are making us laugh.

Note: Jessie Stephens is dating Mia Freedman’s son, Luca Lavigne.

    We're All So Ashamed

    We're All So Ashamed

You're not imagining it, Australians are angry. The three Queensland women who crossed the border with COVID-19 have been met with enormous outrage. Should their pictures have even be shared? And are they the right people to blame? We discuss.

Plus, is the most rebellious thing a young person can do these days… get married?

And, we need to talk about an emotion we can’t seem to shake, no matter how old and wise we get: shame.

    A Feisty Debate About Instagram's #ChallengeAccepted

    A Feisty Debate About Instagram's #ChallengeAccepted

Have you suddenly noticed black-and-white portraits in your Instagram feed? They'll likely be closeups of women's faces — some famous, plenty not — with a few names tagged and a caption that declares "#challengeaccepted". So, what is the challenge exactly? And why are celebrities and normal women alike taking part in it?

Plus, The Bachelorette has been announced and... THERE'S TWO OF THEM. We’re the third country to do this, and in the other two markets, it hasn’t ended well. So, will these two women be pitted against each other?

And, is the environmental load falling disproportionately on women?

Hosts: Holly Wainwright, Jessie Stephens, and Mia Freedman

The Bunnings Incident That Stopped A Nation

The Bunnings Incident That Stopped A Nation

Julia Gillard might have one of the most talked about feminist political addresses of all time, but this past week, everyone’s talking about another one. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez called out a fellow US politician in Congress after he called her a bitch, and women can’t get enough of it.

Plus, did you think we were going to get through today’s episode without Mia talking about Taylor Swift? Nope. So why is this album so different?

And where do our personal freedoms end, and our social responsibilities begin? Three Victorian women have gone viral over the past three weeks after they refused to follow Victoria’s COVID-19 guidelines.

Hosts: Holly Wainwright, Jessie Stephens, and Mia Freedman

    Producer: Elissa Ratliff

Recommendations: Listen to folklore by Taylor Swift

Don't Mess With Melbourne's Pregnant Women

Don't Mess With Melbourne's Pregnant Women

Do not mess with the pregnant people of Melbourne.

This week, it was announced that partners would be asked to leave hospitals two hours after the birth. A debate has ensued, and to talk about it we're joined by original Outlouder, the very pregnant Monique Bowley https://www.instagram.com/moniquebowley/

And, there’s a new generational war simmering away in offices, and it’s been kicked off by non-other than Chair Of The ABC and all-round media legend, Ita Buttrose. Ita says that millennials ‘lack resilience and need hugging’. So, does she have a point?

Plus, the Bachelor In Paradise sex contract we can't stop thinking about.

Hosts: Holly Wainwright, Jessie Stephens, and Mia Freedman

    Producer: Elissa Ratliff

Recommendations: Jessie wants you to listen to Mia's Lady Startup Story with Sally Hepworth: https://mamamia.com.au/podcasts/lady-startup/

    And watch Amy on Netflix.

Never miss it!!!

I love the podcast sooo much! Thankyou for doing 3 a week! I love the mix of opinions from 3 vibrant, interesting, intelligent women! I’m often yelling at my phone in disagreement, or laughing or nodding along! Keep up the great work Jessie, Holly and Mia ✌️

Three white privileged women in a vacuum

Jessie reading out her summary of trumps interview was beyond painful..
Can we please pass her mic or a mic on a more regular basis to Kee Rees.
She is a breath of fresh air and brings a much needed diverse perspective to an otherwise very white and privileged group of women. How can the podcast be a welcoming place for all women when the topics are picked and discussed by three white, heterosexual and wealthy women with similar life experiences.... it kind of seems that the bringing in of substitute hosts occasionally to fill in, is just lip service. Give somebody who doesn’t look like you a permanent seat at your table. Is this a podcast for “women and girls” or a podcast for “women and girls that look like you”

Chatting with best friends

Great to listen to you guys. A great balance between the three hosts who chat about anything from the most random events of the week to the most significant events. It’s refreshing and a ‘must listen to’ podcast of my week. Love it!
