    Sex With Your Best Friend

    Sex With Your Best Friend

Should you marry your best friend? Can your spouse really be your bestie?

In today's episode, Holly, Mia, and Em Vernem are unpacking relationship and friendship dynamics.

We discuss the different roles the most important people in our lives play, including who is at the top of the leaderboard (in true Mia style), what you share with your partner versus your best mate, and Em reveals what it feels like to see a best friend give "bestie credit" to their boyfriend (ouch).

Princess Kate is back at work, attending the Trooping of the Colour for the King's birthday. In photos she looked pristine and happy, which has lead some to comment that it's not what we expect someone who is receiving cancer treatment to look like. So, now that Kate Watch is back, how do we feel?

Also, have you heard? It’s never been tougher to be a 30-something in Australia. Millennials are struggling with cozzie livs and turning to Boomers and Gen Xers for help. We discuss.

And, the six-minute-long Bridgerton sex scene everyone's talking about. Why is it such a big deal to see a curvy actress being intimate on screen?

Slow down!

Love the show but lately many people on the show are speaking super fast! It’s annoying slow down!

smarter would be better?

was a subscriber, no longer now. It’d be great to get some higher-order thinking back and just like - smarter, less wildly overly personal discussion on the pod (we get it you’re a mum and you’re related! Not the only thing going on in the world except for yours!). Personal context has its place, but it’s weighted too heavily now to the mythology of its hosts to be interesting to people who are also looking for considered opinions and debate which Holly excels at in the right setting even when you don’t always agree (which is a strength of this pod when done right!!). There are so many relevant news stories now for and about women and women’s right (outside of Israel/Gaza which I think is genuine challenge to cover for many reasons) that are just totally missed and it is glaring. Producers and hosts should spend more looking at sentimental garbage and the free press for what women enjoy, want to hear and sometimes are even challenged by - that’s where this audience member has gone.

Disappointed in the use of unattributed content

I’m a long-time listener but two recent episodes have used unattributed content from the excellent podcast “The Rest is Entertainment”. This is disappointing and effectively plagiarism. The team have clearly taken the topics from TRE and rehearsed exactly the same points without attribution to the podcast. Given that the team do attribute ideas they source from magazines (“I read this article in The Atlantic etc.) and other podcasts (although typically only those hosted by men), I can only assume the team are taking an active decision not reference the TRE podcast. This is infuriating and I’m afraid you’ve lost a listener.
