Justin Alexander was a survival expert, a full-time vagabond, and the kind of man who could disappear—if he wanted to. But in 2016, after venturing into India’s remote and unforgiving Parvati Valley, he didn’t come back. Led into the Himalayas by a holy man on a so-called spiritual quest, Justin left behind whispers, half-truths, and a cryptic, haunting message: "If I’m not back by mid-September, don’t look for me." Status: Untraced is a gripping journey into the unknown—a search through treacherous landscapes, whispered legends, and truths that refuse to sit still. Because out there in the wild, the line between lost and gone can be razor thin.

Podcast worthy???

Look, I have empathy for Justin’s loved ones but I’m not sure this story is podcast worthy. Justin was a grown man who refused to grow up and accept the inevitable responsibilities of adulthood. He took way too many risks and sadly I believe that led to his demise. I believe his death was an accident and an innocent man was murdered by police because he was too scared to tell them what really happened.
White Male Privilege at its Worst.

Do yourself a favour, don’t listen. I can accept and be saddened by the loss of a life. However, I can equally not care about said person. The actual quality of the podcast is amazing, the hosting, and investigation is at a high tenderfoot standard (but certainly no Up and Vanished). But the idolizing of a reckless boy afraid to take responsibility and grow up, then portrayed as a hero is too much. I am so annoyed by the content of this podcast that I can’t even express what I feel. This is clearly a ‘Californian’ level of struggle, a white guy who had has come from a life of privilege, and probably never really faced consequences of his actions in his 36 years of being. I was sucked in by the mystery, but in the end, who cares? I didn’t.
A classic waste of time

Sorry - as Up and Vanished once produced good podcast series Now I suspect they set out to to produce a long long series - and irrespective of the story - they will stretch it out to make sure they at least get to double figures This story is so overblown that I listened only to the first 3 episodes and took a punt about what would happen in the next 6 - and went straight to Episode 10 I made a good call and clearly missed nothing. And even in the final episode I learned nothing that couldn't have been predicted after the first
