Structuring Your Business to Work For YOUR Life and YOUR priorities feat. Tracy Harris

Structuring Your Business to Work For YOUR Life and YOUR priorities feat. Tracy Harris

Tracy Harris founded Mums with Hustle six years ago, and today the business offers a podcast, courses, workshops, membership programs, and online communities.

I met her at a business event over four years ago, and was immediately struck by her positive energy - but also by how clear she was on who her business was there to serve: mums running their own businesses.  Since then, she has built a seven-figure business while working 20 hours per week.

In myself and Tracy’s wide-ranging chat, we cover:
What she was doing before starting Mums With Hustle
How the idea for it dropped in, and what the first baby steps she took towards it were
The moment she realised that the concept could be a successful business
How she made her first hire before she made a dollar
The importance of niching - and how she found hers
An overview of her current business model - its revenue streams, communities and team structure
What her biggest "fuck yes!" and "oh shit no!" moments have been in its growth
The weekly structure she works to and her individual focuses for each day I (love how Tracy does this!)
Her experience of navigating being a parent while also serving her community
What keeps her motivated and inspired on her business journey
The three books that have been most life- or business-changing for her
The one piece of advice she would give to someone wanting to step into their business idea

I hope you enjoy our chat as much as we enjoyed having it.  To find out more about Tracy and Mums With Hustle, visit the website - tracyharris.co or go to Instagram - @mumswithhustle.

What 75 Hard Taught Me About Staying On Track With Goals & Habits feat. Sharon Cliffe

What 75 Hard Taught Me About Staying On Track With Goals & Habits feat. Sharon Cliffe

Last year, I completed the 75 Hard Challenge - which is pretty much what the name suggests!

    Each day, participants:
    Do two 45-minute workouts
    Stick to a diet
Have no cheat meals or alcohol
    Drink 4 litres of water
    Read 10 pages of non-fiction
    Take a progress photo

This challenge taught me so much about my ability to stay on track with my intended goals and habits, and I got a LOT of questions from my community about the experience!

Business coach Sharon Cliffe joined me doing the challenge, and in this episode, Sharon and I compare notes on what the challenge taught us, including
Why we each did the challenge
What our biggest fears/block were going into it
What helped us get through it
The books we each read during the challenge
What we learned about making goals happen as a result
    Why intentionality is so important
We we need to forget about motivation
What we'd each say to someone listening who's undertaking a big goal this year

Working With Your Cycle with Ilana Kosakiewicz

Working With Your Cycle with Ilana Kosakiewicz

This episode is brought to your beautiful ears by Nature Nate’s honey.

This week’s conversation with Ilana Kosakiewicz could be the gamechanger you’ve been waiting for…  Ilana is a kinesiologist, yoga teacher and meditation guide who specialises in helping her clients to optimise their energy, and she is passionate about teaching women how they can live their lives in a way that’s more aligned with their cycles.  The upside?  More energy, more flow… and less chance of burn-out.

I am constantly taken aback at the number of women in my community who have or are currently experiencing problems with their energy, immune systems and thyroids, and I really do believe that the expertise Ilana generously passes on today could prevent a lot of that discomfort and distress for women.

    In our conversation, Ilana shares:
Her own experience of burn-out, what she learned from it and her healing path out of it
How that experience bumped her onto the path she’s on now
The different modalities she works with, and how she brings them together
Why working with our cycles can support us in our careers, and also our lives more broadly
The fou distinct phases of a woman's cycle
How to approach these seasons if you don’t have a cycle right now (due to menopause, pregnancy, etc)
How to know if you’re NOT working with your cycle
An overview of each phase and what work/food/exercise we should focus on in each of them
How the Winter phase holds the key to unlocking our energy for our whole cycle
The resources she recommends if you’d like to educate yourself more on this space

To connect with Ilana, visit her website at ilanak.com.au, find her Instagram at @ilanak.kinesiology or listen to her podcast, The Energy Shift.

The book we mention is WomanCode by Alyssa Vitti and the cycle tracking apps Ilana recommends are Flow and P Tracker.

Could not love this podcast more

Lorraine is authentic, real and so so SO practical. I love that she shares stories from her own life to illustrate topics and concepts. But I think it’s her realness that sets this podcast apart from anything else. She doesn't paint an unattainable imagine of perfection which just makes it so easy to listen to and grasp. Plus who doesn’t love listening to an Irish accent - bonus. Thank you Lorraine for sharing your wisdom with us. I’m certainly better for it.
