Wondery Presents: Death of a Starlet
Nineteen eighty was going to be Dorothy Stratten’s year. Playboy’s Hugh Hefner thought it might even be her decade. She was just 20 years old, the girl next door with the shy smile and whispery voice who didn’t know her own beauty. But who was Dorothy really? And how did her rise to fame ultimately lead to her death?
This is a six-part series about love, sex and murder in 1970s Hollywood when glitter pants and roller skates were all the rage, and the Playboy mansion hosted the biggest party in town.

Yep I need to binge on this. They may do an episode about me.
Interesting Stories, Horrible sound mastering
Some incredible, some hard to believe but very interesting stories.
However the audio mastering is terrible, most notably the ads are so loud I need to turn it down when I sense an ad coming and back up after
Beautiful story-telling, amazing curation…One of the best podcasts out there
So lucky to have this podcast for free…It brings so much insight, compassion, empathy and an unlikely sense of community…In a world where we are so seperate. This podcast is the best of the best, and I am so grateful for it.
Thank-you to the host and all the story-tellers who share their trauma, experience, hope and sense of belonging. This podcast is one of the greats.
