    #309 The Archangel's Farm

In the 80’s, Michael Wayne Ryan was a nobody, a high school dropout, who couldn’t hold down a job. But to hear him tell it, he’s one of the greatest human beings to ever walk the face of the earth. He's a Vietnam war vet (not really), where he lost two toes( that part's true). He’s also been a hitman for the CIA(nope), and a mafia hitman as well(not a chance), all this before the age of 40. So it's no wonder this man thought he was “Michael” from the bible, the archangel reincarnate. All he needed now was a few people who shared his vision and hung on every word…yep, we're doing some cult shit.   Check out Patreon and our other shows!: Patreon.com/truecrimeguys Cryptic Soup w/ Thena & Kylee Strange & Unexplained True Crime Guys YouTube EVERYTHING TRUE CRIME GUYS:   https://linktr.ee/Truecrimeguysproductions True Crime Guys Music: True Crime Guys Music on Spotify OhMyGaia.com Code: Crimepine Patreon.com/truecrimeguys Patreon.com/sandupodcast Merch: truecrimeguys.threadless.com Special thanks to "Karl Casey @ White Bat Audio" for the intro music! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=de68pYYHbks&list=PLLEnbi5KRv6Z8CMUtLiA81-wQCLVUOKYs&index=13   Sources: https://www.oxygen.com/deadly-cults/crime-time/yahweh-nebraska-farmers-cults-slavery-torture-sodomy-murder Book: “Chambers of Horror” by John Marlowe Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. #306 Otto In The Attic

It was August 22, 1922, in Los Angeles, and German immigrant Fred Oesterreich was in the middle of a heated argument with his wife, Walburga “Dolly” Oesterreich. Without warning, when Fred turns around he’s face to face with a man he knew a decade ago, back in Milwaukee, and he’s holding two pistols. Fred didn’t hear the man come in, and most importantly, why was he here in the first place!?  Check out Patreon and our other shows!: Patreon.com/truecrimeguys Cryptic Soup w/ Thena & Kylee Strange & Unexplained True Crime Guys YouTube EVERYTHING TRUE CRIME GUYS:   https://linktr.ee/Truecrimeguysproductions True Crime Guys Music: True Crime Guys Music on Spotify OhMyGaia.com Code: Crimepine Patreon.com/truecrimeguys Patreon.com/sandupodcast Merch: truecrimeguys.threadless.com   Sources: Book: “The Most Bizarre True Crime Stories Ever Told” by Jack Rosewood https://strangeco.blogspot.com/2013/12/ottos-in-attic-or-hell-dolly.html https://historic-horrors.com/2025/05/22/the-man-in-the-attic-a-forgotten-crime-of-passion-from-los-angeles-roaring-twenties/ https://www.reddit.com/r/todayilearned/comments/5t1qis/til_an_la_woman_hid_her_lover_in_the_attic_for/ https://www.atlasobscura.com/articles/the-married-woman-who-kept-her-lover-in-the-attic https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iGu6ZdWM2Wg&t=581s Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company.
