    Elizabeth Barraza

    Elizabeth Barraza

"It was very quick, it was very calculated, very cold-blooded (in) how it was done... I do believe that more than one person was involved in this..."

On the morning of 25 January 2019, 29-year-old Elizabeth Barraza was gunned down in her own driveway. Her husband, Sergio, had departed for work just four minutes earlier, and Elizabeth - who had begun preparing for a garage sale - had called out for work that morning.

In the two years since this bizarre and tragic act of violence, investigators have publicly theorized that this was either an incredibly personal crime or a professional hit. However, there seems to be no ascertainable motive for anyone to have targeted Elizabeth...

    The Unknown Person

    The Unknown Person

"...the Unknown Person considers himself to be the director of a play and Canadian authorities are but actors subject to his direction."

In April of 2013, following an investigation into a "black money" scam, Toronto Police Services arrested 32-year-old Herman Emmanuel Fankem, a French citizen that had overstayed his visitor's visa and supposedly gotten caught up in an organized crime ring. However, as police began to dive into this man's backstory, they discovered that his passport was a total forgery.

In the years since, this man has refused to divulge any information about himself to authorities, and appears to be fully uncooperative - if not combative. For that reason, his identity continues to remain a total mystery...

    Toyah Cordingley

    Toyah Cordingley

"Finding her body has burnt an indelible image in my mind. It is something a father should never have to suffer."

On the morning of 22 October 2018, family and friends of missing 24-year-old Toyah Cordingley would scour the area around Wangetti Beach, a quiet and secluded stretch of sand not too far away from Toyah's hometown of Cairns. There - partially buried in sand dunes - Toyah's body would be found, having endured "visible, violent injuries" before her death.

In the years since, police officials have remained tight-lipped about the specific details of their sprawling investigation. But it is believed that they have formulated a good case around the only named suspect, who fled the country just hours after Toyah's death...

    The Metcalf Sniper Attack

    The Metcalf Sniper Attack

"... the most significant incident of domestic terrorism involving the (power) grid that has ever occurred."

In the early morning hours of April 16th, 2013, a group or individual would attack an electrical substation just outside of San Jose, California. Armed with at least two rifles, this mysterious entity would open fire on the station's transformers, destroying more than a dozen and causing more than $15 million in damages.

Years later, federal officials still have no idea who perpetrated this bizarre attack on America's power grid - or why.

The Santa Rosa Hitchhiker Murders (Part Five)

The Santa Rosa Hitchhiker Murders (Part Five)

Between 1972 and 1973, at least seven women were murdered in California's Sonoma County.

The discovery of three bodies in July of 1979 - after years of inactivity in this case - would bring about a new wave of speculation in the press. Despite investigators hoping that these discoveries could help provide answers for the numerous unsolved cases, all they did was end up creating even more questions.

In the decades since, investigators have pondered whether this case could be connected to some of the most infamous names in all of true crime, Ted Bundy and the Zodiac among them. But nearly half-a-century later, all of these murders remain unsolved...

Long time listener, first time reviewer

I’ve always been a fan of this podcast but felt inclined to come give it a 5 star after the end of the GirlsDoPorn episode, with that kind of close out to the episode I was genuinely laughing and needed to give mad props.
