    Time For Meditation | Bird Watch

    Meditation Welcome to our Bird Watch meditation. Join me by taking a deep breath in through your nose and slowly exhale out through your mouth. Take another deep breath in and slowly exhale out. One more deep breath in and slowly exhale out. You. Yes, you. This is what self-care looks like, allowingyourself those much-needed moments to just breathe and be.Feel your body letting go of all that ruffles your feathers – stress, worry, tension. All these things can be left behind as you tend to YOU without guilt, without hesitation. You are allowed this moment of quiet stillness. The Northern Flicker goes about their day as the world moves around them. Simply content to be. It pauses to recharge from foraging when necessary and then takes flight. The crow sits watchful, unhurried, commanding presence. There is something in that — the ability to remain fully present, fully aware, while sitting in stillness. While the Spotted Towhee is happy to stay near the ground, unbothered by what is happening above. It sits in quiet confidence knowing that it does not need to soar to know its own worth. Our bodies were not designed to stay on heightened alert, and it is important to find that balance of being aware while remaining calm and present. Like water off a duck’s back, let whatever negativity comes your way, roll right off. Re-set. Re-focus. Taking these moments to breathe, add to our ability to be resilient, even in the harsh seasons of our lives. You are not alone in this journey; you are doing your best to survive in the landscape you are in. Allowing yourself to sit quietly, unbothered, unhurried, in quiet solitude is wise.     Welcome to our Mountain Scapes meditation. Join me by taking a deep breath in through your nose and slowly exhale out through your mouth. Take another deep breath in and slowly exhale out. One more deep breath in and slowly exhale out. A single flower can bloom in the most unexpected of places. It does not seek permission; it simply establishes its roots, navigates obstacles in its path and pushes through the difficult and seemingly uninhabitable terrain. The indomitable will not only to survive, but to thrive, grow, and bloom without any doubt or hesitation. There is no rush, no hurry, it simply becomes, sharing and spreading its beauty. Notice how the water receives every reflection without pause. There is no imagining it will not be, it simply is. Whether it is reflecting trees or sky, the water effortlessly holds all that surrounds it. The resulting reflection brings peace and calm to all who take a moment to pause in its presence. Allow your body to relax and pause for a moment of peace and calm. You are already growing, blooming, in a challenging place and time. Allow this moment to simply be. You are safe in this moment of quiet stillness. All you need to do is breathe.     Time For Meditation | Seascapes

    Welcome to our Seascapes meditation. Join me by taking a deep breath in through your nose and slowly exhale out through your mouth. Take another deep breath in and slowly exhale out. One more deep breath in and slowly exhale out. Imagine… you are sitting on a quiet beach with your feet nestled in the soft brown sand. You feel the warmth of the sun on your skin and hear the ocean waves dancing with the shore. The seagulls welcome your presence. Notice the gentle ocean rhythm, the ebb and flow of the tide. You are part of this rhythm. Notice the vivid blue sky and the sunlight glistening off the water. Feel the calm wash all over you. You are safe in this moment. Give your body permission to soften. As you continue this journey, gently adjust your sail and head into the wind’s flowallowing the ocean breeze to take away all your worries or stress. Allow yourself just to be. There are no meetings here, no deadlines, only peace and calm. Take another deep breath in and slowly exhale out. Notice your feet back in the warm, brown sand. The sky is now painted a pale orange and yellow as the sun sets in the distance. Take this feeling of calm with you in the remaining part of your day and in the weeks ahead.
