Listen With AsapSCIENCE

Canadian influencers and scientists Mitch Moffit and Greg Brown—better known collectively as AsapSCIENCE—began their journey as educators and creators in 2012. The two are a self-made dynamic duo, illustrating, composing, writing, editing and even directing their own videos and podcasts. AsapSCIENCE are staples of the Canadian creator community, and are positive, influential role models for both the LGBTQIA+ and STEM communities.Below, check out Brown’s insight into the duo’s influences and the podcasts they admire and listen to regularly.

“The initial reason we created AsapSCIENCE and our Sidenote podcast was to force ourselves to stay up to date with scientific information. We are obsessed with learning new things. This is why our favourite podcasts are Nature Podcast, Hidden Brain, and Science VS. All of these shows keep us current on everything in the science world; they use incredible experts who aren’t afraid to get into the details of studies; and they never fall into the trap of popular pseudoscientific ideas.

At other times, we feel the need to be inspired, which is when we revisit Bjork’s podcast Sonic Symbolism. Bjork is one of the most prolific artists of our time, and this podcast is perfect for anyone looking to get their creative juices flowing. SHE IS MOTHER - NO JOKE!

Finally, our favourite podcasts to LOL, LMFAO, or ROFL to are Seek Treatment with Cat and Pat, Hall & Closet and Celebrity Book Club with Steven and Lily. We can always tell when the other person is listening to one of these podcasts because they are chuckling to themselves while washing the dishes. We dare you to try and listen to any of these podcasts and not get a hit of DOPAMINE, BRUV!“
