This morning I listened to the Aug 6 episode, Charm for Kilometres, and mere hours later I used the conducive and timely advice given by the ever insightful Ronna.
I’m a woman in IT and let’s say men like to talk over and at me. At a meeting today I was asked several questions, as I attempted to answer I was cut off several times by my male peers. That is until I calmly said with my inner Ronna, “Let me finish my thought.”
It stopped all interruptions immediately and I was able to freely reply.
I had to keep a wide grin down while I talked as all I could think of was Ronna the Interrupter knowing how to stop all the lower “i” interrupters dead in their tracks.
