Oh Oh Oh No, Are People Really Taking Ozempic To Lose Weight? With Sami & Aleen

Oh Oh Oh No, Are People Really Taking Ozempic To Lose Weight? With Sami & Aleen

It’s officially kugel season. In today’s Back For Seconds episode, Sami recaps her delish Rosh Hashanah feast (yay leftovers), while Aleen’s Rosh was more lowkey, since she just didn’t have the energy (relatable). They then dig into the main course and debrief something that’s been bubbling up to the surface: the “thin is in” trend is making the rounds again, and it’s bringing up a lot of emotions. They discuss it all, re: Kim and Khloe’s influence, the complexity of health at every size, and the return of the waif. They then explain yet another, umm, problematic trend—people taking the Ozempic shot to lose weight, even if they don’t have diabetes. Sami and Aleen wrap up by sharing their own outlooks on body image, analyzing the control diet companies have, and discussing body diversity in Hollywood. Lots to unpack, to say the least

Growth and support

I have been listening for the last year to Sami and Aleen. I love the podcast and you have both become my internet friends in my ears.

I have loved watching the podcast move from how can we be smaller, take up less space, and fit into “society” and now listening to them talk about their body confidence, what is “healthy” mentally and physically and how can we just be happier in our own bodies. I truly believe we are witnessing growth and transformation and it’s a beautiful thing to see all while laughing our asses off at Jared sneaking snacks at midnight in Boca. Thanks for your vulnerability while you bring us through life.

The Show opening

Can I record the show opening for you? The word “emotional” in the sentence: “the emotional side of well-being” is said REALLY weird and it bothers me every. single. listen.
