I listened to this podcast in amazement. I am stunned that after all the horrific things Jennie has done at TPFA, you are posting a podcast pretending she is something great.
Let me quote the Alberta Government who just stripped TPFA as the Management Body of their responsibilities of looking after 16 of their buildings “citing concerns of safety and security “ of the seniors that live at those properties under Jennie’s so called great leadership.
Her HR practices are so great that her HR department sent out everyone’s T4’s last year in an unsecured email to people’s personal email addresses while they had people who didn’t work for the organization cc’d in. in case you are not aware of this, people’s social insurance numbers and additional personal information is listed on the T4’s. Also the CRA’s regulation clearly states you’re not allowed to email it unless you have permission from the employee. I am here to tell you that they didn’t have my permission.
Turn over has never been as high as it has since she has taken the rains are f TPFA.
The restructuring you talk about at the end of the podcast, is not due to her innovative ideas. It’s because TPFA went from being one of Calgarys largest housing provider to having 3 properties.
Hopefully AHS will too wake up soon and cancel the contract with TPFA. Given that those exact same “safety and security concerns” exist for the remaining residents under her so called leadership.
Oh, and let’s not forget about the unionization under her great leadership. Great HR practices. This organization was in business for 46 years before she came in, and within the first 6 months under her leadership the staff felt the need to unionize.
Shame on you for publicly admitting on your podcast that you know nothing about the programs required of TPFA but you are on the board. How can you keep your sole employee in check when you don’t know what she is supposed to be doing, what her roles is.
To all looking for HR advice, I recommend you don’t take advise from Jennie or this Andrea person who can’t read the writing on the wall clearly. Organizations don’t unionize for no reason. Governments are not in the habit of cancelling contracts with Housing Management Company’s that have been successful for many years and suddenly loose control.
