Season 2 is AMAZING!!!!

The only reason I didn’t give this 5 stars is cuz of season 1, which was somewhere between “ok” and “pretty good”. I listened to all of season 2 in 1 day. It was so enthralling.

Season 2 was amazing!

This is one of the first story telling podcasts that I have thoroughly enjoyed. I listened to it in one night, I couldn’t get enough. Season 1 was good but Season 2 blew me away. Bravo!

A complete review for both series

The message:
I really loved this series more so than it’s sequel (life/after) so my review is probably a bit biased.

Pros:
- Great audio
- No cliffhanger ending
- A twist at nearly every turn
- gets better the more the plot develops

Cons:
- Short episodes if the episodes were a bit longer, say 45 minutes then there could of been more plot developed in the closing arc. But overall runtime is great.
- No season 2 as of yet for The message.

Life/After:

I feel a little annoyed after listening to the message and then listening to the trailer because it hints at a return from the main character but sadly it’s only click bait. The podcast follows the main character Jason Barnes 8 months after his wife was killed in a hit and run, and everyone is telling him it’s time to move on, it’s been 8 months.

Then one day at work Jason gets a chance encounter with something or someone that might be able to allow him closure.

Pros:
- Great audio.
- Grest descriptions of visual effects such as “the building exploded into a burst of flame, the smoke blocking out the sunshine on the crisp autumn day.”
- Will leave you what to make of the ending similar to choose your adventure but with some context

Cons:
- ending is sort of left open-ended
- Some details need more information in later plot (last 3 episodes could’ve been a bit longer.)
- Would’ve been nice to hear from more than one perspective on plot.
