The Birth Control Conversation No One Wants To Have

Did you miss the Four Corners special on Scomo and QAnon? We watched it so you don't have to, and we're breaking down the controversial investigation to tell you if you really should be outraged.

Plus, we need to talk about Lorde's Bum. It's divided us. After the singer dropped her first song in 4 years, Mia thinks it's the single's cover art that everyone is talking about, not the amazing song she wrote. Holly and Jessie think it's a bold and empowered statement. Why can't we look away, and what does it mean?

And, what is birth control counselling? A new trial could see pharmacists offer private birth control counselling to young women who turn up wanting to purchase emergency contraception. So how would it actually work? And what has the reaction to it been?

BONUS: The Kennedy Women: When Jackie Met Jack

No show today for the public holiday, instead, we wanted to give you an episode of the latest season of Extraordinary Stories. It's the podcast that dives deep on the stories you thought you knew, told by the women who really do, and it's hosted by the producer of Mamamia Out Loud, Emma Gillespie. Extraordinary Stories is available exclusive to MPlus members, head to mamamia.com.au/mplus or download the Mamamia app to find out more

    -

In this season of Extraordinary Stories, we’re taking a closer look at the women who married into America’s most influential family, the Kennedy’s. From incredible triumph to unspeakable loss, these women weren’t just on the sidelines of history, they were living it. Whilst it may be their husband’s names inked in modern textbooks, some of the most extraordinary stories of their time belong to the women. Jacqueline Bouvier, Ethel Skakel and Carolyn Bessette. In our first episode, we're starting with the woman whose pink Chanel suit and pillbox hat is imprinted memories around the world. Jacqueline Lee Bouvier Kennedy Onassis.

Time’s Up For The "Pervs" Of Australian Swimming

Maddie Groves is one of Australia’s best swimmers, so why has she pulled out of Olympic Trials,  and in doing so basically burned her chance to compete at the Olympics? And how has she flipped the tables with a tweet?

Plus, what is Main Character Syndrome, and do you have it? Are you the main character in your circles or more of a trusty sidekick?

And, our best and worst of the week, including a BIG announcement from Holly.

The Anti Self-Care Hero We Need This Week

The Anti Self-Care Hero We Need This Week

The Biloela Family. It's the story we can't look away from this week. What is going on, more importantly, why, and how can this be happening in Australia?

Plus, two of the shows everyone’s obsessed with at the moment tell us something about the kind of people we want to see on screens at the moment - It’s the rise of the self-care anti-hero.

And, does toxic femininity exist? What does it really mean, and how is it impacted by toxic masculinity? Are women raised to hate each other?

How Our Listeners Unravelled Jessie's Secret

How Our Listeners Unravelled Jessie's Secret

We need to talk about Lilibet. From the significance of the name and the reaction around the world to Harry and Meghan's next steps, Holly, Jessie, and Mia unpack all the royal baby news you need to know.

Plus, Jessie and her twin sister Clare were sick of getting asked if they were really fraternal twins, and not identical. So they went and got a DNA test and they're calling their mum, live on the show, to tell her the news.

And, should criminals be given a platform to discuss their crimes, their motivations, and their experiences?

Do We Owe Missy Higgins An Apology?

Do We Owe Missy Higgins An Apology?

Aussie singer/songwriter Missy Higgins appeared on Anh Do's Brush With Fame this week. She spoke about the pressure put on her at a young age by the media, and her fans, to put a label on her sexuality. Artists should be able to say what’s off-limits, but has our understanding of sexuality and fluidity evolved enough since then?

Plus, What is FUN? Apart from a bit of an ick word. How important is fun in our lives, and why are women kind of… bad at it?

And our best and worst of the week… which veer from trolls to teeth.

Hanging Out with Aussie Girlfriends

Always fun, sometimes grritty and the fluff to fun to future forward commentary on day to day living is super well balanced. I don’t miss an episode.

So fun!

Great all female podcast from Sydney, Australia. Covers a wide range of topics from different points of view. Lots of fun and funny too. Love the weekend suggestions section.

Love the Aussie humour

I listen to your show from Whistler, Canada and wish I was back in oz working with people like you. I was born and bred in Sydney but now an ex-pat trying to live the dream overseas. I get your Aussie humour and perspective and look forward to listening to every episode on my morning commute or in the bath, relaxing after a heavy day of skiing. I recommend you to everyone. You guys are the bomb! Keep it up!! Pepski
