Power & Politics

As a daily listener I am grateful for the scope of ‘as it happens’ political developments, issues with the people involved and a broad, non partisan perspectives and commentary. That said, the show has a surprising amount of audio related programming issues with pauses, background noise, and hosts connecting with guests, which can be distracting and frustrating, given that CBC is producing it

David is too concerned about hearing himself speak and being the smartest in the room. A good host should listen and draw out the perspectives of the experts on his show. I suggest he takes a page out of Rosie and Vassy’s approach: leave his ego at the doer and listen to his guests.

I love politics all because of cbc. First my name is Shaylynn I am in grade 6 and we aren’t even learning about politics. Anyways the reason why I love politics and cbc is because they make the news and podcasts so interesting I even which till 2:30am I love it. Secondly they are so informative and their vocabulary and the way they talk, makes me get better and better at using my words and being more specific. Than you cbc so much!!

Always look forward to listening to Emily’s thoughtful commentary. Emily thinks outside the box. She has an excellent ability to reference other major issues to the topic at hand, providing a unique point of view, perspective or concern that provokes deeper thought of the discussion. Well done Emily.
