She is also a 15+ year melanoma survivor and has used her running as a platform to share her personal story and professional expertise to spread awareness for early skin cancer detection and sun safety. Sharon is an Abbott World Marathon Majors Six Star Finisher who has raised over $25K for nonprofits, including multiple melanoma organizations dedicated to advancing skin cancer awareness, research, and treatment.
