The single mom’s 6th sense – that sense of guilt!

The single mom’s 6th sense – that sense of guilt!

As single moms, guilt can take over. In this episode of the Single Moms with Moxie podcast, I share a story of how I compared myself to a stay-at-home mom and how crappy I felt that I couldn’t be at home with my kids.

Guilt is a lie. That’s an important lesson as we strive to raise our kids the best way we can.

I even have a full chapter on guilt in my book, SUPERWOMAN: A Funny and Reflective Look at Single Motherhood (Cynren Press), which is available wherever books are sold.

When you get stuck in your head get out of your house

When you get stuck in your head get out of your house

There’s a lot of talk about mental health issues. And I think that more people than we realize suffer from this – in varying degrees.

Now I am in no way undermining mental health issues that unfortunately have the power to lead some people to do terrible things to themselves.

That said, over the years I have learned a trick that helps me get out of my head when sadness or anxiety paralyze me.

I’m happy to share it here and hope it helps you on “those days.” We all have them. You’re not alone.
