Join bloggers Kid Fury and Crissle for their weekly podcast covering hip-hop and pop culture's most trying stars. Throwing shade and spilling tea with a flippant and humorous attitude, no star is safe from Fury and Crissle unless their name is Beyoncé. (Or Blue Ivy.)

As transplants to New York City (Kid Fury from Miami and Crissle from Oklahoma City), The Read also serves as an on-air therapy session for two friends trying to adjust to life (and rats) in the big city.

The Read is part of the LoudSpeakers Network and is published every week on iTunes, iHeart Radio Talk, Soundcloud & Stitcher.

Are you black, sensible and looking to be entertained

I can’t tell you how much I love crissle and west, listening to this podcast is like being a part of a small group of hilarious, smart friends who gather around brunch to talk about pop culture. If you won’t stay for the banter, you’ll for sure stay for crissles’s laugh

Kid Fury Please Adopt Me

I wish I could give more stars. Kid Fury and. Crissles gave me, the only black person I knew growing up, my black card. I love the growth, the strength and the laughs.

Come get your black life

This is the podcast you never knew you needed. It’s like listening to two of your older siblings gather you and your BS, all the way UP, every week. Everything from the commentary, to the unapologetic multifaceted blackness, to the grace and room to grow, to the read at the very end of it all is just amazing. Honestly, the read is the icing, but the entire podcast is a creamy chocolate cake you can’t get enough of. Also, the way Crissles CACKLES like a whole witch at people’s foolishness? And the way Kid Fury DRAGS people by their chest hairs into the afterlife? Yes. Plug it directly into my aorta. Thanks.
