Decluttering without Overwhelm/Giving Up/Hating Yourself with Katy Joy Wells

In this conversation, I sit down with my friend, author and Declutter Coach Katy Joy Wells to talk about something that sounds simple on the surface (decluttering) but is actually deeply emotional, psychological, and relational. In a world of tips, tricks and hacks, Katy truly gets the internal obstacles to "just get rid of the things," and meets us right there. We explore what Katy calls our “stuff stories”: the invisible beliefs, memories, and protective strategies that shape how we relate to our belongings. Because clutter is rarely just about being messy or unmotivated. It’s often about safety, attachment, grief, identity, and the ways we’ve learned to cope in a world that hasn’t always felt supportive. We talk about how our culture shapes our relationship to stuff, why so many of us hold onto things long after they stop serving us, and how clutter can quietly act as a shield — protecting us from feelings we haven’t had space to feel yet. Katy shares how decluttering, when approached with compassion instead of pressure, can become a powerful doorway into self-understanding and emotional relief. This conversation isn’t about perfection or minimalism. It’s about learning how to listen to yourself, how to create a home that actually supports your nervous system, and how to approach change with curiosity instead of shame. We also talk through practical, gentle tools (like creating a donation station) that make movement possible without overwhelm. Katy also shares about her upcoming book, Making Home Your Happy Place, and her belief that decluttering works best when we focus not on “fixing” our homes, but on understanding the humans who live inside them. What 2025 Taught Us (and What 2026 Is Preparing Us For) with Intuitive Astrologer Virginia Rosenberg

In this conversation, I sit down with intuitive astrologer Virginia Rosenberg to talk about the astrology we just passed through in 2025, and what's coming in for us in 2026. Lucky us, Virginia just wrote a whole book about the astrology of 2026 called "Convergence; the 2026 Cosmic Calendar." A long-trusted voice in the astrology space, Virginia brings astrology out of the abstract and into the body, reminding us that it’s not about prediction or perfection, but about remembering an ancient language that already lives inside us. We talk about 2025 as a year of reckoning and release, and 2026 as a threshold moment — one that invites more agency, more responsibility, and a deeper relationship with our own inner authority. Yes please! We explore why anger isn’t something to bypass or fix, but a vital signal that helps us understand our boundaries, our values, and our aliveness (and Virgnia named that we will be working with anger a lot in 2026). We talk about the return of healthy masculine energy, not dominance, but grounded presence, protection, and direction — and why this balance matters so much right now, both personally and collectively, individually and externally. We also name the strange tension of living in a hyper-technological world while longing for meaning, connection, and embodied wisdom. I love the way she looks at our current relationship with tech, and we both explore "how do we stay human in a time that keeps speeding up?" This conversation is an invitation to slow down, listen inward, and trust that you already carry more guidance than you’ve been taught to believe. It’s about community, intuition, emotional honesty, and remembering that we were never meant to navigate change alone. I loved this conversation and I am so grateful to have Virginia as such a grounded guide! And you can connect with her, book a atrology reading with her or her trusted roster of readers, become trained to interpret astrology yourself , or buy her book here! https://virginiarosenberg.com/

    Fashion Therapy with Marisol Colette

In this episode, I get to sit down with my friend and kindred spirit, Marisol Collette — the brilliant therapist-turned-style-coach who somehow manages to make fashion feel like a portal to healing instead of a performance we have to nail. Marisol and I talk about what really happens when the inside of you and the outside of you don’t quite match — when your body is changing, your identity is shifting, your confidence is wobbling, or when you’ve been told for too long that you’re “too much,” “not enough,” or “should dial it down a little.” This conversation is about clothing, yes… but it’s also about congruence. It’s about the courage it takes to show up in the world as the person you already are on the inside — before you feel ready, before your body cooperates, before the culture approves. Marisol shares how she blended therapy and fashion into a completely new kind of work — one that helps people reconnect with themselves through colors, textures, silhouettes, and sacred little choices that say: “I’m worth being seen.” We talk about body changes (because hello, life), the stories we’ve inherited about beauty and worth, the liberation that comes from dismantling those stories, and why doing this in community is so much more healing than doing it alone. If you’re in a season of becoming, shedding, stretching, or just trying to remember who the hell you are when you get dressed in the morning… this episode will breathe some fresh air into your closet and your spirit. If you're interested in connecting with Marisol and her massively important work, you can find her on IG: @solreflection and access her myriad of offerings. Enjoy the episode!

Parenting a Spicy One with Thee Mary Van Geffen

I got to sit down with the one and only Mary Van Geffen, the wise, hilarious, caring, OG spicy one here to help the moms raising the big-feeling, strong-willed, exquisitely sensitive children, to talk about her forthcoming book, "Parenting a Spicy One; A Compassionate Guide for Raising a Deep-Feeling and Wonderfully Strong-Willed Kid." We spent this episode wandering through the real terrain of parenting—the parts where your child’s emotions pull at every unhealed corner of your nervous system, the parts where you’re laughing because the alternative is crying on the kitchen floor, and the parts where you realize that raising a strong-willed kid is basically a heroine’s journey. Mary shared so beautifully (and hilariously) from her own life—what it means to parent neurodivergent and sensitive children, how to stay curious instead of controlling, and why community support is not optional but essential for cycle breakers. We talked about the essentialness of rest, the miracle of a parent who can hold space without collapsing, and the spiritual dimension of raising children who are wired for depth, intensity, honesty, and full-body aliveness. If you’re a parent who sometimes feels like your child is your greatest teacher and also your greatest trigger… if you’re trying to build a safe inner home for yourself so you can offer one to your kids… if you’re learning to laugh at the absurdity of raising humans in the age of overstimulation… this episode will feel like a gentle hand on your back. I love Mary, and I know you will too! Her book is available for pre-order, and comes out on Feb. 10th! Link here: https://www.maryvangeffen.com/parentingaspicyonebook

Tech Pep Talk with Erin Walsh

In today’s episode, I sit down with the brilliant and grounding Erin Walsh (author of "It's Their World Teens, Screens and the Science of Adolescence" and co-founder of the Spark and Stitch Institute) to talk about something every parent I know is secretly panicking about: raising humans in a digital world that evolves faster than our nervous systems can blink. Erin and I go way beyond the usual “screen-time limits” conversation. We get into the real, nuanced, evidence-based, actually-helpful stuff—like how our kids’ tech behaviors are so often a mirror of our own emotional regulation, why shared family tech rituals matter more than the perfect set of rules, and what boys are learning (or not learning) about their emotions from the online spaces they inhabit. We talk about how the digital world is designed to hijack attention, how masculinity is being shaped in comment sections, and why secure attachment is still the number-one “parental control” we have access to. We explore the importance of boredom (yes, boredom—the thing our kids act like is fatal), co-regulation, and crowding out screens not with shame but with shared experiences that actually feel good to everyone. This conversation is honest, compassionate, and genuinely relieving. It names what so many of us feel but don’t say out loud: it’s hard to raise kids right now. The landscape is unfamiliar, the stakes feel high, and none of us grew up with the tools we’re expected to have. Erin offers practical, grounded wisdom—and together, we remind you that you don’t have to navigate any of this alone, and you don’t have to do it perfectly for your kids to thrive. Takeaways The digital landscape poses unique and unprecedented challenges for families. Understanding how screen time affects development helps us guide—not control—our kids. Secure attachment is the most powerful buffer against tech-related overwhelm. Parents play an essential role in helping children navigate online content and culture. Boys often learn emotional expression from peers and online role models—many of whom are not emotionally mature. Boredom is not a crisis; it’s a crucible for creativity and regulation. Shared family tech experiences build connection and restore balance. Emotional regulation means feeling feelings without causing harm to self or others. Healthy media habits require replacement strategies—not just restrictions. We need community, patience, and open dialogue to raise emotionally resilient kids in a digital age. Enjoy the episode, and I highly recommend Erin's book and work! https://sparkandstitchinstitute.com/about/erin-walsh/

All The Mothers with Dominica Ruta

This week I sat down with our new best friend and community-building-sherpa, Dominica Ruta for one of my favorite episodes to date. Dominica is a fellow cyclebraker, Mama, and writer of the recent novel "All the Mothers," where she explores blending families based on shared motherhood, co-carrying the load, de-shaming our shiitake and love transcending the forms we were told it comes in. We gushed about the invisible oxygen that keeps so many of us alive: connection, female friendship, being witnessed, and low-lift hangs that transform us from the inside out. I share more than I ever have about my journey from nuclear family into intimacy with other women, and we address how mothers can have both, deep intimate nourishing connection with other women without leaving their marriages. We explored how relational needs drive so much of our behavior (yes, even the things we judge ourselves for), why safe community is not a luxury but a survival strategy, and how healing often happens not in a therapist’s office, but sitting cross-legged on a friend’s rug watching "Real Housewives." Domenica and I also wandered into the land of men—how they too need spaces that allow emotional safety, and why building emotionally intelligent communities shouldn’t be a female-only burden. We talked about how Gen Z is calling BS on emotional repression (bless them), how motherhood can become a portal to deeper self-love, and why storytelling is the medicine our publishing world still doesn’t always know how to package. We celebrated the kind of joy that happens when women drop the performance and find each other again in the dark. We honored the ache of needing village, the courage of saying “I can’t do this alone,” and the quiet radicalism of showing up vulnerable—on purpose. If you’re craving community, tired of pretending you’re fine, curious about how motherhood changes not just your schedule but your soul, or longing to feel less alone in your need for others—this conversation is a hand extended. And go buy this book! It'll entertain and change you. https://bookshop.org/p/books/all-the-mothers-a-novel-domenica-ruta/aba4844fa4b548f1?utm_source=google&utm_medium=pmax&utm_campaign=16243454879&utm_content=&utm_term={searchterm}&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=16243514117&gbraid=0AAAAACfld43lNpqlWjLTp-Kvy2yTgbV_g&gclid=CjwKCAjwgeLHBhBuEiwAL5gNEbfo1wIhBLXfewCQVz3vX5tW0npvV0hr4sLzZWHb3nTMmCgIO00cZxoCqCMQAvD_BwE
