    Just as Jenn’s heli ski lodge season comes to an end - a new lodge season is about to begin! We hear the latest from Jenn’s wild runarounds and adventures and what’s currently keeping her busy these days, and what her summer plans entail. A few candid updates from the copilots before a rather large change up… Amanda and Jenn have been hinting at the van’s needs for a service appointment over the last few weeks, and it’s finally time to park the van indefinitely.     Rainier Wylde is a teacher and writer who, as his son would say, is gifted with how he’s able to make people truly feel things. He has been a successful entrepreneur, a psychotherapist, a professor of psychology, and a spiritual director.  His own experiences have contributed to his deep compassion for others, for the world, and for himself. He is committed to writing about living life to the fullest, and teaching others how to access and acknowledge their deepest truths.  In this fantastic conversation, Rainier tells us about his decision to walk away from a community he built to chase adventure with intention, and start playing a more active role in his life.     As we were all aware, Jenn’s season wrap up at the lodge has had her as busy as a bee! She was unable to join Amanda in the van this week, as she had to head out to the island to grab her stuff and move it closer to where she’s working. The van had to head in for some maintenance, so one of Amanda’s besties, Emily Bromley, sat shotgun for the ride today!  In this candid catch up, Amanda and Emily gush about plant names, their individual journeys into an abundance mindset, and what books they’re currently reading.     I Am Me; Navigating Identity Through Commitment to Oneself

    CW: Today’s guest speaks about their sexual assault / rape. They also recount one morning’s thoughts on dying by suicide.  Mx Trina Prince (they/them) is a trans, non-binary, disabled, neurodivergent, white person, who currently lives on the territories of the Kwikwetlem, Qayqayt, Stó:lō, Tsleil-Waututh, Squamish, and Musqueam First Nations (colonially know as Port Moody, BC). Ever since Trina became a survivor of sexual assault in 2009, they have been a huge advocate for ending all forms of gender based violence. Now, Trina is very honoured to be the Board Chair for the WAVAW Rape Crisis Centre in Vancouver and as of January 2021, Trina started a new role as the Manager of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion at Kwantlen Polytechnic University. Most importantly, they are a proud cat dad to Tucker.  Today’s conversation sheds light on Trina’s realities after their sexual assault, burying themself in work and being busy through their declining mental health. Trina shares how important friendships were and have been - the kind where a friend truly sees you and helps advocate for you when you’re unable to do so.     Decolonization and Divesting from Whiteness; Amidst the Pivot'ing'

    Kina Reed is a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion practitioner. She is also the creator and curator behind the social media platforms, The AntiBlackness Reader Project and Divesting From Whiteness. She holds a Master of Arts degree in Communication Studies and is a published researcher, conference presenter and public speaker. Her public advocacy is largely inspired by her academic research relating to social power and its intersections with race and gender identity constructions. She formerly held a dual faculty administrator appointment at Louisiana State University as the Director of Forensics. In the conversation today, Kina tells us about how her calling into education was heard when she was 17 years old. She also tells us about how she’s very much in the pivot’ing’ right now, having left a job of nearly two decades in higher education. She’s one of the co-owners of hustl and flow and more recently of their latest adventure, Everlove, in Collingwood.  In this conversation, we hear about Ariana’s three week turned six-month journey in Costa Rica and how this was so pivotal for her own personal healing.  This weaves into the power of darkness, inner child work, and the manageability of stress. With the chaos of last year, there’d been a hold on this release, and so much has changed since we recorded in October! Ariana and her now fiancé have settled in Collingwood and are expecting a baby in the next two months!
