I really like the Side Hustle Nation podcast but Nick is speaking way too fast for me. He gives so much helpful information but he doesn't pause between sentences.

I crossed paths with Nick at a conference a few years ago and he and the podcast have been on my radar ever since. And while I've always been interested the work he does, I've only recently started listening to the podcast with more regularity. So glad I finally did, as the show is full of gold, even as someone who's been running an online business for the past 5 years. There are a number of similar shows out there but Nick's experience, personality and perspective really set this show apart. If you're looking to start or grow a side-hustle, or full-time biz, do yourself a favour and check this show out!

I’m finally ready to review this podcast that I’ve been listening to for years. I’m sure Nick has the best intentions but many of the people he has interviewed over the years are not side hustlers but full hustlers. These are people that work 4-6 or more hours per day and call it a side business. That’s not a side business but a full time job. Also some of the people he has interviewed are very close to not being the real deal. I’ve contacted a few, like the Fiver guy and he was close to being a scammer. I also contacted a girl that made 150000 in 18 months and she tried to sell me a course and didn’t show up to the first lesson. I have tried step by step the Pinterest tips that a Pinterest expert gave and they didn’t work. So much of the advice doesn’t work, is outdated or is not real or it has never worked. Very few guests tell the truth and say how hard is to have a side hustle that pays 6 figures per year. I do have a couple of side businesses, for example as a consultant, but I’m a highly qualified professional in my field and those are services that not anyone can sell and that is something that is not mentioned often in these interviews. I’m sure this podcast has inspired many to start side businesses and for that I give it 2 stars.

I’ve stumbled on this podcast when I started my Coronavirus year of listening to 1k of Podcasts and honestly I’ve gotten hooked on it. The show is informative, well balanced with great guests and the host Nick Loper does an amazing job of not glorifying them but really selecting people who are real and give amazing ideas and advice. I’d strongly suggest it to anyone starting a side hustle.
