Loved S1, but the S2 ads are absurd

Great show with awesome guests

I really loved season 1 of this podcast. It’s insightful and shocking and really fascinating. I was very excited to see a season 2 coming and I do think the new subjects they’re touching on are really interesting to hear about, but there are SO MANY ADS. I realize ads are a revenue source but 3 blocks of multiple ads in a 40 minute episode is far beyond what I remember from season 1 and more than any other podcast I can think of. It’s annoying enough that it’s making me less interested to listen because of all the ads I know I’ll need to skip.

I loved season one but season two is unlistenable. 30 minute episode with at least of third of that time being ads. The host constantly tries to push her book, which I get needs promo but she takes any and every opportunity to bring the topic over to her book and it’s really off putting.

I was interested in the concept of this, but it turns out to just be one big ad for Jo’s book. She finds a way to shoehorn it into every single topic with every single guest and it’s exhausting.
