I am so amazed by this podcast. Wow! I felt so alone for a good 6 months after Oct. 7. Almost none of my friends or non-Jewish relatives reached out to me. Worse, I received nasty text messages.
The continuing trauma of all the antisemitism surrounding every day life is not something I ever thought I would experience. Multiple hate crimes done to those close to me. Every Jew knows a Jew who knows a Jew they know. We are a tiny minority in this world. So when something happens to one, we all know someone who knows that person, and that includes the hostages and those massacred on that day, my birthday. 😢
I have forever changed. I’m not the same person. Hearing about other people’s experiences is both surprising and soul cleansing. It’s only now that the stories are coming out about non-Jews losing friends to support Israel and the Jewish people and to stand up to Evil.
I don’t want to have to think about any of it. How can a people I’ve never met hate me just because of my DNA? How can people who have never been to Israel and know almost nothing about what it means to be Jewish, hate me?
I don’t hate them.
Thank you for this amazing podcast. It’s helping cleanse my soul with hope. 🕊️☮️💙🇮🇱
