The Wonderful Wizard of Oz audiobook!
Guess what? We made an audiobook for you. Something about telling the tales of George Michael and Britney Spears made me think about this tale of another kid in the big city. I loved recording an audiobook of A Christmas Carol for you last December, and this was a delight as well. This book is at least 25 times stranger than I remembered, and in the best way. Fandom theories and queer theory reads are very welcome below.

Customer Reviews
Thank you!
This show has made me a more thoughtful and loving human. I think about the saying “you are the average of your five closest friends” when I listen to this show because it feels as though Sarah has become one of the most positive and uplifting people in my life. I am grateful for the calmness and compassion she bring to my week. 💕💕💕
Disappointed
I have listened to every episode and enjoyed many of them. The episodes grounded in scholarship and research have been the most entertaining. There have been many times that I have experienced delight in discovering that my impressions of historical events or individuals had been way off base.
I have noticed a shift on recent episodes where instead of telling stories the emphasis is on ideological concerns. You may have many of the correct opinions, but these ideological conversations with your guests are boring. While I am generally in agreement with many of your points, I find you often use straw man arguments to bolster your points.
Out-tro music
I love this pod. And when the music closes out the show, I feel so comforted and cozy, knowing I’ve just listened to a thoughtful conversation that has handled the subject with empathy and nuance. Thank you Sarah and all!
