Kim Wall

Episode 1 Kim Wall Best known for her articles in the Guardian, New York Times, and Vice, journalist, Kim Wall, disappeared in a submarine beneath the Oresund Strait after interviewing the inventor of the sub, Peter Madsen, on August 10, 2017. We can only speculate what exactly happened below the surface, but upon the submarine's resurface, Kim was missing, but Peter Madsen was not. When confronted about Kim's disappearance, Madsen gave ever changing stories. Judith Anne Brown

Episode 69 Judith Anne Brown In 1977, 19 year-old Judith Anne Brown, who went by Judy was trying to improve her mental health situation. college student, and lifelong New York resident, Judy stayed behind when most of her family moved out of state to Kansas. It was after her family moved away, that Judy, who had suffered with OCD and depression, began to struggle with her mental health. Wanting to get help, she voluntarily checked herself into Creedmoor Hospital hoping to improve her situation. It was there that Judy crossed paths with another patient named Richard Riesenberg and began dating him. He was committed for the brutal 1971 murders of his wife and young son. Despite the murders he committed, he was able to come and go from the facility. Judy was transferred to another hospital and eventually discharged. In April,1977, Richard Riesenberg found out he was going to be transferred to another facility where he would no longer be free to come and go. Before that could happen, he walked away from Creedmoor hospital, and vanished. It was soon discovered that Judy was missing too. Although Judy spoke to family shortly after she went missing, she was never seen again. The focus by authorities seemed to be on taking Richard back into custody. Despite the fact that Judy was very likely with him, her name wasn't mentioned in news articles about his escape. Years after they vanished, Richard Riesenberg was reported to have called his attorney to talk about turning himself into the authorities, but he never did, and was never heard from again. At the time of that phone call, he claimed he was in California, but did not mention Judy. If she's alive, Judy would now be in her mid 60s. When she was last seen, Judy was described as bing 5ft2-5ft4, with Green eyes, and Sandy colored hair. Richard Riesenberg would be in his 80s if alive today, and at the time he went missing, had dark hair and wore glasses. Doe ID: 'Dumpster Jane Doe' Laurie Potter

Episode 147 Doe ID: 'Dumpster Jane Doe' Laurie Potter On October 5th, 2003, a maintenance worker at at the Country Hills Apartment complex in Rancho San Diego, made a horrific discovery in a dumpster when he found a set of severed legs. It was just the beginning of a shocking and perplexing mystery. The legs were found to have come from an adult woman who was deemed to be a homicide victim. Although police did not find any more of her remains, they did find an important clue; the military-style bag that had held her legs was also recovered, and years later, it would lead to the woman's killer. When police ran out of clues early on, and could not match the legs to any missing person in the area, they buried the remains, but not before collecting DNA from them. Years later, investigators employed investigative genetic genealogy and were able to learn that 'Dumpster Jane Doe' was actually Laurie Potter. She had gone missing from Temecula CA not long before her legs were found in the dumpster. Most troubling to detectives, was that her husband Jack Potter had never reported her missing. They began an investigation of him that revealed surprising details, and a 'concerned neighbor' helped them fill in some blanks. When Jack Potter's DNA was found on the bag which had contained his wife's legs, that combined with his neighbor's story, was enough to arrest him. He pled guilty to her murder, and was sentenced to 15 years to life in prison. 'Dumpster Jane Doe' now has her name back, it's Laurie Potter, and this is her story. Charles Robert 'Bobby' Steele

Episode 88 Charles Robert 'Bobby' Steele 43 Year Old Charles Robert 'Bobby' Steele has been missing since April 11,2023 when he walked out of his sister Kelly's home in Delaware, and was never seen again. Prior to that, Bobby had been down on his luck. A childhood injury left him dependent on pain killers, and his addition led to him being arrested and incarcerated, and later, homeless in Maryland. Bobby struggled to stay sober and was looking forward to moving into a new home. He had qualified for a voucher that would get him off the streets, and into his own home permanently, and he was very excited. However, around the same time, he seemed worried and in a panic over something or someone. He expressed his uneasiness to his sister Kelly, and went as far as to ask her to routinely call him or do a video call with him to make sure he was okay. Bobby seemed relieved when Kelly picked him up and brought him home to her house, and things were looking up. That's when Bobby vanished and wasn't seen again. Kelly has been anxiously searching for her brother ever since, and is getting bounced around from one police jurisdiction to another. It's also been a challenge to find and talk to people on the street that knew Bobby, or might have information; including his girlfriend Leah Vari. It seems she too has gone off the radar. Kelly has taken to TikTok to spread awareness and ask for the public's help. Kelly discusses her efforts to find Bobby in this episode. Bobby is described as a White male, 5ft11, 180 pounds, and having Brown hair and Hazel eyes. Lorraine Martinez Salas Chaney

Episode 103 Lorraine Martinez Salas Chaney Sixty One year old Lorraine Martinez Salas Chaney had not lived in Tucson, AZ long when she was murdered in her home in February, 2019. The California transplant who was often referred to as 'Nini', was recently married to her high school sweetheart and was excited for retirement. Most of all, she was excited to be living in Tucson so that she could be closer to her identical twin sister and best friend, Laura. Like many twins, the sisters shared an incredible bond and spent time together almost daily. But on February 26th, 2019, tragedy struck in the blink of an eye. Lorraine's husband Robert ran out for about ten minutes to get a pizza and when he returned home, found his wife barely alive in their apartment. She had been violently attacked. Before Robert could come to terms with what he was seeing, Lorraine's attacker came out of hiding and ran by Robert threatening him. Police and 1st responders raced to the scene but it was too late, Lorraine could not be saved. Her killer was arrested that night, and it turned out that Lorraine had helped him multiple times by giving him food after learning that he was down on his young. Sadly, her kindness costs Lorraine her life. Her death devastated her family, but perhaps most affected by her death was her twin sister Laura. Someone that she had known and been with before she was even born was now gone. Laura discusses the tragic loss of her twin sister, and the efforts to see justice done. Blanca Elisa Roberson

Episode 85 Blanca Elisa Roberson 13 year-old Blanca Elisa Roberson, who went by Elisa, vanished on Sunday August 6,1989 in Aransas Pass, TX as she walked a short distance from her home to the Kieberger Elementary School to meet a friend. Her friend waited for her at the school, but Elisa never showed up. Later investigation would lead to multiple witnesses who saw Elisa on her walk that day, and despite one of them saying that they saw her get into a Maroon car, police have never been later to find her. Later, despite eyewitnesses seeing Elisa walking just before she vanished, police seemed to turn their suspicion to Elisa's own family. Eventually a search of the home they lived in when Elisa went missing was searched for clues, but despite law enforcement threatening that an arrest was imminent, one never came. Elisa's family is angered by police suspicion of them, and they have a favorite suspect of their own, one who police said had an alibi, but the family remains suspicious of him. Decades later, it seems like this case is at a standstill. In this episode, Elisa's sister Ruby discusses this mysterious and heartbreaking disappearance. When she vanished, 13 year old Elisa was described at being Hispanic, 5'0, 120 pounds with Black hair and Brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a light blue Mickey Mouse t-shirt, dark blue culotte shorts and sneakers. Robert 'Robbie' Lamp

Episode 138 Robert 'Robbie' Lamp In 1981, 27 year old Robert Lamp, or Robbie as he went by seemed to have a lot of things going for him. He was a young husband and father, and had recently purchased a home in a great neighborhood in Pennsylvania. Robbie was a successful manager of a Grand Union Super Market; in fact, he has done such a great job, that the company asked him if he'd work at their store in Hillandale, Silver Spring, MD- a store that was in need of a good manager to help run it. It was a good opportunity for Robbie, but since he has just settled his family in Pennsylvania, he decided that he would travel back and forth from Pennsylvania to Maryland instead of uproot his family. By March, 1981, Robbie had settled in to his position at the new store alongside his co-workers, but a violent robbery of a Safeway store just down the street in which a store manager was shot, was on Robbie's mind. He requested security guards from corporate for the store, but his request was denied. Robbie instead had to rely on his training which taught him that in the event of a robbery, to fully cooperate and hand over the money in order to keep himself, his employees, and customers safe. Unfortunately, on March 27th of that year, Robbie's Grand Union store was robbed, and despite cooperating fully with the robbers, Robbie was shot to death as he lay helpless on the floor alongside store employees and customers. His killers fled from the store and escaped, leaving Robbie's family to deal with the aftermath. Later that year, Police connected two men to not only Robbie's murder, but to the earlier Safeway shooting, and other crimes. Arrested were 22 year old LeRoy Jenkins and 25 year old Jerome Dudley. Robbie's family assumed that justice would be done and Robbie's killers would be in prison for the rest of their lives. Years later, they were shocked to find out that the suspects in Robbie's murder had never even been indicted for murder in Robbie's case, and although one of the two suspects had died, the other was still alive and was a free man. Robbie's brother Olen Lamp set out to get to the bottom of what happened. He sought out and teamed up with Tom Ponton, who was a co-worker of Robbie's and was on the floor next to Robbie when he was killed. Together, Olen and Tom filed FOIA requests, and sought out the help of reporter Paul Wagner of NBCNews4 out of Washington DC in an effort to shine a brighter light on just what happened and how suspects in Robbie's murder case were able to somehow slip through the cracks. To date, Robbie's murder case remains officially unsolved, and noone has been prosecuted for it. In this episode, you'll hear from both Robbie's brother Olen who discusses how his brother's murder affected their family, and his efforts to get justice. You'll also hear from Tom Ponton, Robbie's co-worker who walks us through the tragic events of that fateful night in March 1981, and how he came to team up with Olen to find out the truth.
