To get it out of the way, this is the best podcast if you enjoy thinking deeper about boardgames beyond the usual. Yes, fE. talking for hours about different boardgame components can be very entertaining and really informative. The only thing is that now I am spending all that money on obscure Tricktaking games, but hey, we are all responsible adults or so. Two more irrelevant points. In podcasts, you get to the point when you recognize the voices and the associated personalities and have a picture of the person in mind. Imagine the shock when going on YouTube (yes, also available there) that Jake has a beard! Pete 100%, Paul 90% beard voices, but for me Jake and Brendan not. Speaking of which, Brendan often has this tone in his voice (often when he gets a little excited) that to me sounds of pure joy mixed with a little mischief, which makes the listening experience even more enjoyable.
