Episode 374: Think on your Feet LII

Join Frank for another Think on your Feet episode. The patrons have voted, so we're embarking on " versus Brethren of Ash" In Think on your Feet episodes, I endeavour not to edit much at all. Sometimes I cut some shuffling sounds or abbreviate some of my longer pauses (a chap's got to think!), but otherwise, it's uncut, unaltered and meant to feel like you're with me at the table. There may be mistakes and misplays, but hopefully some successes too. My deck: first scenario | second scenario 0.00 preamble 2.05 first scenario intro 4.35 opening hand 5.05 gameplay begins 33.10 first scenario analysis 33.55 second scenario intro 36.55 what's the map like? 41.03 opening hand 41.26 gameplay begins 1.27.15 I forget to take a horror from a pursuing Whippoorwill but a minute later I remember it. During the recording, I realise I may have made a rather major mess-up this playthrough, somehow internalising that Izzie's ability is once per test rather than once per round. I do spot this error at 1.01.25... and during the edit I've checked and I never in fact make the error! Phewee! Just shows how things can slip by. So even though I am not sure whether I used her ability multiple times per phase, it turns out... I didn't. Episode 373: Think on your Feet LI

Join Frank for another Think on your Feet episode. After our last episode, in which Frank tried out two of the premade decks, here Frank tries another one (or two, or three).  In Think on your Feet episodes, I endeavour not to edit much at all. Sometimes I cut some shuffling sounds or abbreviate some of my longer pauses (a chap's got to think!), but otherwise, it's uncut, unaltered and meant to feel like you're with me at the table. There may be mistakes and misplays, but hopefully some successes too. 0.00 preamble 3.57 who are we playing? 6.15 class overview 9.13 final setup 10.47 opening hand 12.05 gameplay begins - or at least scheming 49.50 taking a breath, resetting, class overview 54.05 gander in the rulebook 55.17 opening hand 1.09.45 resetting, class overview 1.13.37 opening hand At 31.23: I say skulls are -2 on a 5 v 2 test. I'm wrong, skulls are -3s by this point in the scenario. Luckily, that doesn't matter! I spot it at 36.05 or so. At 1.17.13: I miscount my handsize due to the assistant, but I spot it shortly afterwards.  Throughout: I keep calling Servant of Flame Servant of the Flame. Maybe it's because I'm so used to Drawn to the Flame rather than Drawn to Flame? Anyway, I spot it, apologise for it, and continue to do it pretty much indiscriminately throughout. Sorry! At 1.26.00 or so: I kill two experiments and forget to be horrified by them, but I spot this and correct it at 1.32.40.  Amazing logo courtesy of this guy Join Drawn to the Flame on Patreon: www.patreon.com/drawntotheflame Email us on drawntotheflamepodcast@gmail.com | Find us on Bluesky Thank you for listening and subscribing.
