Shanti Cooper fell in love with David Tronnes after meeting in 2013 on Match.com. After a whirlwind romance, David and Shanti moved in together. First into a rented house and later into a beautiful, historic home in Orlando, Florida that David had purchased. A major home renovation ensued but countless delays resulted in the couple being displaced from their home for over 2 years.  An opportunity to appear on the show “Zombie House Flipping” surfaced. David saw this as a chance to finish their home renovation. But just as things were looking up for the couple, Shanti was found dead in their small apartment on April 24, 2018. David claimed a slip-and-fall accident must have caused her death but the crime scene told a different story.

Everyone who knew her said that 60 year old Mary Yoder was one of the most energetic, vibrant, and healthy people you could imagine. In July of 2015, she became suddenly violently ill, and two days later she passed away. In this bonus episode, we discuss the recent news about the death of 30 year old Mica Miller from South Carolina. Mica was estranged from her controversial pastor husband, John-Paul Miller, and had recently filed for divorce. John-Paul Miller bizarrely announced his wife’s death after delivering a sermon to his congregation, claiming that she died by suicide and commenting on her mental health issues. Mica’s friends and family don’t believe that Mica died by suicide, and several have commented about her struggle to separate from both her husband and his church.

On the night of May 19, 1983, Diane Downs and her three children, Christie, 8, Cheryl, 7, and Danny, 3, were shot on a rural road outside of Springfield, Oregon. Cheryl died from her injuries. Christie and Danny were gravely injured. Diane suffered non-life threatening wounds to her left arm. She claimed a bushy-haired stranger had shot them. A man-hunt came up empty for the shooter. Suspicion quickly landed on Diane partly because of her lack of emotion.  She had a history of messy affairs and entanglements -- most recently with a married man named Knick Knickerbocker. Diane and Knick met at the post office where they both worked. Knick had been in love with Diane but was adamant that he had no interest in being a father.
