Nothing compares yet.

This is a great and understandable philosophy podcast. In my studies (Business) I have nothing to do with philosophy, you might even say it’s the opposite. But, even without extensive knowledge in the field, I can get great pleasure and comfort out of listening to this podcast. I might even go so far and say it has helped me with some life decisions.
In the time between episodes, I have tried to find a similar podcast, but have yet to find one that matches Stephen’s work.
I hope he will continue for as long as he is humanly capable.
Definitely recommend!

Reconnecting to my past and family

I am the youngest of six children and my dad is a philosophy professor. Honestly, it wasn’t always easy following all of the Kant, Hegel and co. discussions at the dinner table because everyone knew so much more than I did. (Also, I didn’t particularly feel open to listening to everything my dad said.) That made philosophy awkwardly distant, even though I grew up with it all around me.

Stehen West has given me the opportunity to re-engage in philosophy without any pressure - instead it is pure pleasure. I not only (finally) understand some of the key thoughts of many philosophers I have heard about in the part. Also, I have begun to understand how philosophy impacts our societies and culture.

Inspiring, educating, succinct and entertaining. Thank you Mr. West.

Makes me a better person everyday

Since I started listening to it, it has made me less ignorant, less selfish, and to love more human kind and life.
