    All about reputation... | Syrian Women: plastic surgery, cattiness, and high-risk sex.

    In this episode we discuss Karla's experience with women in Syria. We discuss the issue of cattiness and betrayal among women in Syria - which can often be rooted in jealousy and competition -, as well as the intense familial pressure in Syrian society, the role of family in work and dating. We contrast these points with life in the West, asking ourselves whether these issues simply manifest differently? Finally, we will discuss the lack of comprehensive sex education in Syria, and the challenges that women face in accessing reliable information about sexual health, sexual scripts, and reproduction.
