Welcome to Talking Change: where we interview leaders and participants to learn how the Collaborative Leadership Initiative’s (CLI) efforts align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDG). Through various projects, leaders have been working toward a bright and more sustainable future for their communities and the region. CLI is a partnership between the Chiefs of the Southern Chiefs’ Organization (SCO) and the mayors and reeves of the Winnipeg Metropolitan Region (WMR).

Chris talks about the Dunnottar duckweed project, how duckweed absorbs nutrients that affect water quality and the next steps for the project.

    In this episode of Talking Change, we talk with Dr. Hank Venema from Strategic Systems Engineering, about a ditch harvesting project in Rosser, Manitoba and how it furthers the CLI's efforts in meeting SDG 6: Clean Water and Sanitation and 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities. Hank talks about the advantages of this project, similar work, and uses of biomass.

Jim talks about how important small steps are, how CLI makes an impact on reconciliation in Manitoba and provides his advice on the process.
