RQ Network Feed Drop – Remnants Ep. 1

RQ Network Feed Drop – Remnants Ep. 1

This month we are featuring a feed drop of one of many incredible podcasts on the RQ Network: Remnants.

Remnants is a weekly, thrilling, dark fantasy, audio drama filled with mystery and has just launched on the RQ Network.

When we die, the remnants of us return to the First and Last Place. Our fate is decided by Sir and his new Apprentice, who read our remnants to determine whether they should be re-shelved or discarded. But what are the criteria? What happens to discarded souls? How are new lives for the re-shelved determined? And why, after untold stretches of existence, has Sir decided that he needs help to do it?
Remnants explores the boundaries between right and wrong, examining humanity from its brightest and best to its darkest and most frightening, and all the grey in between. The Apprentice soon discovers that when we judge others, we often expose truths about ourselves.
Remnants is from Eira Major the same brilliant creator behind the Spirit Box Radio and Not Quite Dead.

Introduction and outro by Anusia Battersby. Listen to Remnants on The Rusty Quill website, on Acast, or listen wherever you get your podcasts, or to learn more about Remnants check out its official website.

Best Podcast!

I hate podcasts!!!
But this one is literally my favourite thing to listen to.

I listen to one episode on the way to school, and one on the way back. I am currently at episode 77 with the gigantic plotwist.

Everyone should listen to MAG!!!

The only podcast Ever

Can’t believe Rusty Quill invented the podcast. Great stuff 👍

Statements End.

This is, without exaggeration, the best thing I have ever listened to.
The first episode gets you hooked, perfectly in sync with the Anglerfish imagery, and it only gets better. Every season, it gets better and better (and worse and worse for the characters, haha). I am in awe and simply cannot fathom how it is possible to wrige something this good. I can't explain how much this story means to me. I'm listening to it for the second time now and to Know Everything is quite painful, which is of course entirely canon-typical, but also sheds new light on the intricacies and the attention to detail in everything. (I've gone full-S2-John the first time listening and now I'm just relishing in the connections.)
It's the best thing ever. It's tragedy and love stories and so much more wrapped in amazing horror and mystery. I've been genuinely scared a lot of the time. I've laughed and cried and died with every character.
I tend to feel things very strongly and have my own histories with a lot of the themes, so relating to these characters was quite a katharsis. I've completely lost myself in The Magnus Archives.
Thank you, Jonny Sims and everyone at Rusty Quill for this experience of a lifetime.

P.s.; And you have no idea how much the queer representation means to me. To have an asexual protagonist - I didn't think it would be so important to me, but it is. To have that being part of the character without having relevance to the story is amazing because that's how life is for queer people: It's just part of us but doesn't say anything about us as people. To have John be ace actually made me cry because I've never felt so seen before. So thank you for that too.
