Alestes likes to keep her head down while she works as a merchant, couriering deliveries and carrying travelers to destinations across the seas. Only as her travelers gradually become permanent crewmates, she realises her ship has become a floating museum, laboratory, vault of repatriated ‘treasures’, and a chef’s kitchen.
After spending most of her life with the understanding that nothing changes, no matter how hard you fight, Alestes is faced with a choice: Will she use her new network of allies to build safe harbour and potentially a future for her new community, or will she once again put her head down and drown in her sea of excuses…

Kundenrezensionen
A good adventure
A good and entertaining maritime adventure. Great characters! Thank you
A fantastic show from start to finish, top to bottom.
I have just finished listening to the Early Access drop of the season finale, so don't be surprised this review is coming a day earlier than the episode release. Trice Forgotten is a fantastic podcast and I cannot recommend it highly enough. It features a motly crew of (wanna-be?) pirates and deals with the struggles they face, be it their past, their present, or their future. The writing of Trice Forgotten is incredible. The characters are superbly well rounded, the research that has gone into this show is so nuanced and extensive. The dialogue flows beautifully and the narrative arc and pacing of these (hopefully first) ten episodes was absolutely stunning. I was on the edge of my seat ever since I finished listening to episode 9 and two weeks ago. The season finale delivered some great pay offs and beautiful moments, whilst being tense and terrifying, but also leaving some things open to be further explored either in a - from my part most warmly anticipated - second season, or otherwise in fanworks. The voice acting in Trice Forgotten cannot be praised enough. The cast has brought these characters to life in a way I have not seen before, even in other RQ productions which have all been great (If you're reading this, go listen to Rusty Quill Gaming, Stellar Firma, and Chapter and Multiverse! They're great shows!). The known RQ voices (in Trice Forgotten namely Tim Meredith and Lowri Ann Davis) were spectacular additions to the absolutely amazing cast of newcomers joining the RQ roster. Rebecca Brough as our protagonist Captain Alestes really made that chemistry with Anh (Naomi Bartoo) pop. And Alestes' relationship with her father figure Baker (Vic Zander) made me feel all soft and mushy. Of course Shahan Hamza as Siva cannot go unmentioned. Siva and his arc are so central to the story of Trice Forgotten, and the show wouldn't have worked without Shahan's incredible understanding of this character's feelings and emotions. Gigi Zahir and Ashley Goh also catapulted their characters of Noor and Inez straight into my heart. The soundscaping and music of Trice Forgotten are also breath taking. I could *see* myself in the world these incredible editors and composer have created. The mood, the ambience, the surroundings... Listening to Trice Forgotten is an incredibly immersive experience and I cannot praise the behind-the-scenes crew enough. Apart from a spectacular narrative, Trice Forgotten also features the "Below Deck" episodes, in which Nemo Martin and Rafaella Marcus (creator and director respectively) talk with various expert guests about all the research and other considerations that have gone into the making of this absolutely stunning work. These additional episodes are super interesting to listen to, but not necessary for those who only want the narrative. Equally, it is possible to only listen to Below Decks, in order to learn new things and gain a new perspective on certain matters, without listening to the show (although you will on occassion not get all references). iTunes only allows for a 5 star rating, but this show deserves 5000, and it definitely deserves to be continued.
