Your Kid Is One Click Away from Porn. Are You Ready? with Jacob Valk

In this episode, we sit down with Jacob Valk, co-founder and co-executive director of Into the Light Ministries, for a powerful conversation about pornography, parenting, prevention, and God’s good design for sexuality. Jacob shares his own story of growing up with a mom who talked to him early and openly about pornography and created a home where the topic wasn’t hidden in shame. By the grace of God, Jacob never became hooked on pornography, but he vulnerably shares how he struggled with masturbation, lust, and learning how to bring even the hidden parts of his sexuality into the light.  We talk about why pornography is so destructive, why masturbation is often misunderstood or minimized, and how a deeper theology of God’s design for sex gives us more than just rules. Jacob also shares the heart behind Into the Light Ministries and the free resources they’ve created for individuals, parents, churches, and families. From their documentary on pornography to their parenting masterclass and tech series, their mission is to equip the Church to face pornography with truth, clarity, courage, and hope. Can a Marriage Survive Same-Sex Attraction? With Jeff and Jourdan Johnson

In this episode, we sit down with Jeff and Jourdan for a vulnerable conversation about same-sex attraction, marriage, honesty, and what it looks like to keep choosing Jesus when the struggle doesn’t simply go away. Jeff and Jourdan are worship leaders, pastors, podcast hosts, and the founders of Open Spaces. With over 25 years of ministry experience, they have spent their lives creating spaces where people can encounter God in honest and transformative ways. But behind the scenes, their own story was being shaped by deep pain, confusion, utter dependence on God, and tremendous courage. Jeff shares about his lifelong experience with same-sex attraction, the secrecy he carried for years, and the moment he finally told Jourdan the truth. He admits that for a long time, he didn’t even think marriage was possible. Jourdan shares what it was like to hear his story, how Jesus guided her to stay, and how the Holy Spirit met her with the strength, clarity, and grace in the middle of so many unknowns. This conversation is not a simple story with easy answers. It is a story about choosing Jesus in the middle of unanswered prayers, unwanted desires, shame, temptation, and confusion.  Jeff and Jourdan's Resources:  Website Open Spaces Podcast Open Spaces Instagram Restored 2 More Resources: Restored 2 More 8-Week Course Instagram Thanks for Listening! The Christian-College Porn Battle No One Is Talking About with Scott McDowell

In this episode, we sit down with Scott McDowell, son of Sean McDowell and grandson of Josh McDowell, for a vulnerable and honest conversation about the hidden battle he and so many young men face with pornography. Even though Scott came from a legacy of well-known Christian leaders who educated him about the dangers of pornography, he found himself in the trenches with a secret that he believed would bring shame on the family name if anyone found out. From the outside, he looked like the “good Christian guy.” But behind the scenes, he was believing the lies that so many people fall prey to: “I can quit whenever I want,” “It’s not really affecting me,” and “If it is damaging, it’s only hurting me.” Eventually, God began to show him that pornography was doing more damage than he realized and was affecting his relationship with God, his confidence, his dating relationship, and so much more. We also talk about how the types of pornography are changing within a younger generation and what it actually looks like to walk in purity as a young man on a college campus. Again, we’re reminded that the struggle with pornography thrives in secrecy, but healing begins when we bring it into the light. How Do I Know If He’s Struggling With Pornography?

So many women reach out to us asking the same question: “How do I know if he’s struggling with pornography?” Sometimes it’s not obvious. It’s not always something you catch—sometimes it’s something you feel. A shift. A distance. A tension you can’t quite explain. In this episode, we talk about the signs we’ve seen—not just in our own story, but in the hundreds of couples we’ve walked with. This isn’t about creating fear or jumping to conclusions. It’s about helping you pay attention to patterns, trust what you’re sensing, and have the courage to step into the conversation. We cover things like secrecy with phones, emotional disconnection, changes in intimacy, defensiveness, and even subtle ways pornography can distort how we see ourselves and our spouse. We also talk about what to do if you do have that gut feeling—how to approach the conversation in a way that leads to truth, not more hiding. There is hope. Healing is possible. And bringing things into the light is always the first step. If this is something you’re walking through, you don’t have to do it alone. We’ve created tools and a full recovery pathway for couples inside Restored 2 More. Connect with us: Restored 2 More 8-Week Course Thanks for Listening! When You’ve Prayed, Believed, and Nothing Changed…With Brenna Blain

What do you do when you’ve prayed, believed… and nothing changes? When the healing doesn’t come, and the pain doesn’t go away? When God feels silent in the place you need Him most. In this conversation, we sit down with Brenna Blain, a contemporary theologian, best-selling author, and teacher, to talk about the kind of suffering that doesn’t make sense—and the kind of faith that has to be rebuilt in the middle of it. Brenna vulnerably shares her story of abuse, depression, same-sex attraction, and wrestling with a God who didn’t show up the way she thought He would. We talk about the tension so many of us carry but don’t always say out loud: How do you trust God when He doesn’t fix it? What does it look like to follow Jesus when your reality doesn’t match what you’ve been taught in church? And is it possible that God’s presence in our pain matters more than the outcome we’re praying for? This episode isn’t about easy answers. It’s about honest faith, wrestling with God, and learning how to invite Him into the places we’d rather hide.
