Conan O’Brien Needs A Friend Team Coco

After 25 years at the Late Night desk, Conan realized that the only people at his holiday party are the men and women who work for him. Over the years and despite thousands of interviews, Conan has never made a real and lasting friendship with any of his celebrity guests. So, he started a podcast to do just that. Deeper, unboundedly playful, and free from FCC regulations, Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend is a weekly opportunity for Conan to hang out with the people he enjoys most and perhaps find some real friendship along the way.

Heartfelt mayhem
I’m generally not that into silliness but this format carries it beautifully. Knowing that Conan is a genuinely lovely human being is the key to hilarity in the cruel banter and narcissistic tomfoolery that is engaged upon in these fine recordings. He makes every type of guest work and the show is bookended into a delightful balance by Matt and Sona, two rather different individuals but, unlike most of Conan’s characters he seamlessly weaves in and out of between the rare moments of sincerity, attached to Mother Earth and armed with copious amounts of needles custom fit for popping bubbles that Conan painstakingly constructs. I LOVE it and if I had to guess, you will too so certainly give it a go.
I wish there would be more episodes...
The only problem with this podcast is that it comes only twice a week. I have now heard the latest Kevin Nealon episode 11 times, as it is my current ”go-to” episode while waiting for new ones. Love you all and thanks for making me laugh out loud at the gym.
Thank you Chill Chums
Hello from Finland. I have listened to the podcast from pretty much the beginning and a big fan. We recently had a bbq party and the host, who is also a fan, served Chilled Chum cocktails. They were excellent so thank you for inventing the drink, Matt.
