Firmsconsulting maintains a 80% success rate at placing clients within McKinsey, BCG and Bain. This is the highest in the industry and the rate is higher if we include other firms. We achieve this rate because we only use former partners from McKinsey, BCG et al to develop our clients. This makes us unique. We never use analysts, associates, engagement managers or associate principals. We also carefully select and develop clients on their communication, image, technical and case interview skills. This podcast channel describes our lessons from training our clients.

useful, applicable, knowledgable

The podcasts and other materials offered are very usefull for professional development, learning about first and advanced principles of analysis, management, leadership, consulting, networking and how to apply recommendations on a daily basis in working environment or studying. The materials are excellent source of knowledge and guidance for working professionals and students. It's worth spending some time listening to various topics discussed not only because these are down to earth advices but also well tailored and simple to follow guidances. I'll give an example of the podcast on creating storyboard within very first 5 days of project. This podcast is not only applicable to consulting but also for people outside consulting in various industries. It explains the approach on how to reach the major recommendation(s) at the very early phase in the project by properly defining the objective, building branches of analysis and knowing how and what to prioritise. The advices given are universal and transferable beyond author's primary occupation and are easy to understand compared to some guru books on similar topics.

Lack of substance

The ‘why Accenture’ episode revealed a lack of parity between the producers substantive claims and actions - whilst calling for ‘analytic’ discourse in their detractors critiques, they failed to substantiate any of their on claims.
Rather, the speaker continued to labour an admittedly poor ‘F1/mini’ analogy.

This was muddy and ironic.

Market leader by a distance

I have used Firmsconsulting over the past few years as I was looking to move away from tech consulting to focus on business issues. This podcast and the TCO programme enabled me to develop a skillset of structured, hypothesis-led, fact-driven problem solving and exec-level communication. I have since moved to a well-known firm working with top level management on high priority issues. My career progression has rapidly accelerated and Michael, through his teaching, has given me a real competitive advantage compared with some of my peers. It is a real investment towards your future and I highly commend their work.
