In this episode, we take your questions LIVE, and I gotta say, your drumming/gear questions took us down some really fun paths and allowed us to discuss topics that we normally would overlook. We hope you enjoy this episode!

This was such a fun trip down memory lane! Export, Genestia, Vistalite, Masters, Starclassic, Broadkaster, etc. There are so many great names when it comes to drum sets. It was really hard for us to pick our favorite, but we did our best :)

Life skills for all
This isn’t just a Podcast it’s an M&S Podcast!
Mike and Eddy are inspirational, it’s not all about drums it’s about being the best you can be. Tuesday is now officially the best day of the week as I can listen to you on my drive to work.
Keep up the great work, you’re killing it!!!
Don’t meet your heroes
I’ve been a huge fan of the podcast since it began, listening to it week on week as soon as it came out, and I loved it!
One thing that I always found odd while listening was how Mike will go out of his way to say “he OR she” when describing someone, rather than “they”, which is more inclusive, and also quicker to say (seems like a win win, no?).
I was really saddened when listening to episode 92, where they had Craig Reynolds on, and a topic came up, about meeting a childhood friend after 20 years, and finding out they’re not that great anymore. Craig mentioned it’s like if they said a slur or were racist, to which Mike immediately came back with “or one of those guys that say ‘THEY’”, as if this is on the same level as a racial slur.
I find it embarrassing that someone with so much reach, working in the ARTS industry, can be so narrow minded as to go so far out of their way to exclude people. I can’t imagine how a trans person would feel at one of Mike’s camps.
It was a shame Craig didn’t call him out on it, as he seems to be an advocate for trans rights, but maybe it got lost in passing. I don’t know if Eddy has an opinion on this, but either way it hasn’t been voiced or challenged which is also a shame.
Regardless of the real reason, I won’t be listening again, or recommended either drummer to my students anymore.
Excellent
These are awesome podcasts. The chemistry between Mike & Eddy is palpable. The humour is brilliant and the content hits the nail right on the head, no matter what level of drumming your are at! The information also crosses well to others in music and in life. If this was only in the UK it would be the M&S of drum/life podcasts. Well done guys.
