A three team fight? French GP Preview with Gerhard Berger

11 races down, 11 to go. F1 2022 Part 2 starts this weekend at the Circuit Paul Ricard. Ferrari have momentum and are looking for a third consecutive win, but will this racetrack’s long front-tyre-punishing corners hand the advantage to Red Bull?  Can Mercedes make it a three team fight? Which driver has raised their game after ‘staring into the abyss’? Tom Clarkson’s joined by 1996 French GP winner and F1 World Champion Damon Hill, fresh (or maybe not) from taking on one of the Tour de France’s toughest climbs. Former Ferrari race-winner Gerhard Berger joins the team to give his take on Max Verstappen vs Charles Leclerc, pick the star performers of the season so far and to look ahead to the 2022 French Grand Prix.

How worried are Ferrari about the engine issue which ended Carlos Sainz’s race and robbed them of a likely 1-2 finish? Tom Clarkson, Natalie Pinkham and Damon Hill are joined by Ferrari's Carlos Sainz and his performance coach Rupert Manwaring, Ferrari Team Principal Mattia Binotto and Jesus Balseiro from Spanish newspaper Diario AS, as they debrief all the action direct from the paddock. Good insightful reviews. Knowledgeable and pose good questions. A must for all true F1 fans.
Slightly annoying that one of the hosts can’t pronounce “formula”, other than that spot on.
Top it of with them having almost as melodic voices as the chequered flag podcast team, soothing vices to full to sleep to.
4 and a half chain saws.

It’s all downhill…

Unfortunately the forced diversity is making this worse and worse. It’s gets harder and harder to listen to. Presenters should be chosen for their ability and knowledge rather than scoring diversity points. The woke rants, shouting down microphones and making statements like ‘there is no biological difference between men and women’ are nonsense. A sport focused on science and you ignore it when it doesn’t support the narrative?
