Ranking the Top 10 F1 drivers of 2023

We've got a bumper episode for you this week, as Mark Hughes, Scott Mitchell-Malm, Ben Anderson and Josh Suttill join Edd Straw to present The Race's Top 10 F1 drivers of 2023. We created our list by asking each of our guests to rank all of the drivers on the grid, with their scores then combined to produce a top 10. But which drivers made it in and which missed the cut? And are there any big surprises along the way? Listen in and then let us know on social media whether you agreed with our ranking and rationale.

Scott Mitchell-Malm and Glenn Freeman join Edd Straw to round-up the final track action of the 2023 season: The end-of-season test in Abu Dhabi. They discuss whether any of the young drivers who got a run-out are likely to make it to F1 and what's potentially blocking them from doing so. They also debate whether Pato O'Ward's ongoing McLaren outings might help him earn him a race seat in the future, and whether Sergio Perez's full day of running might help him hit the ground running in 2024.

Why the Mercedes-Ferrari battle for P2 matters + Should F1 ditch Monaco?

Ben Anderson and Glenn Freeman join Edd Straw to look ahead to the final race of the 2023 F1 season in Abu Dhabi. There's a particular focus on the scores still left to be settled this year, including whether Mercedes or Ferrari will win the battle for P2 in the constructors' championship, and whether McLaren or Aston Martin will triumph in the close battle for fourth. The guys also look ahead to which rookies will be getting a run-out in the post-season test, and debate the controversial matter of whether Monaco still deserves a slot on the F1 calendar - especially with Las Vegas now offering a prestige glamour event that also provides great racing...

Las Vegas GP: Our thoughts on the track, opening ceremony & pre-race hype

Join Edd Straw and Scott Mitchell-Malm on the ground in Las Vegas, as they look ahead to arguably the most hyped race in F1 history. They share their initial views on the venue and circuit, discuss what the drivers have been saying about it (including Max Verstappen's negative comments), and reveal what it was like to attend the glitzy opening ceremony in person. We'll also hear from former McLaren driver John Watson on what it was like to race (and finish on the podium) in F1's first attempt to make a success of a Las Vegas Grand Prix in 1981 and 1982, plus we'll get the latest on Andretti's bid to get an American team onto the Formula 1 grid.

Real F1 analysis

The Race is the sole platform where you can truly access genuine Formula 1 analysis. On Sky Sports, the commentators and figures appear to be declining in quality, fabricating overly sensational stories for the sake of engagement and simplifying their analysis to accommodate more casual viewers. In contrast, The Race provides comprehensive perspectives and insights rooted in logic and reality, and they are unafraid to highlight the sport's deficiencies when necessary.

Best f1 podcast

Without doubt the best f1 experts to listen to. Even wipe the floor with the decreasing level of experts on sky sports
Plus you have to hand it to them, every time I find a race incredibly boring they manage to make it seem like i got it completely wrong

Great expertise but ads are horrendous

Even as a UK listener you get US ads that are borderline illegal in the UK due to bogus health claims. Sort it out.
