Funny thing is I find myself enjoying this podcast despite not being a serious fan of Star Trek, and, in particular, not having seen the original show since it was on TV regularly in my childhood. I barely remember all but a few of the more-memorable episodes (bar a couple I watched on Netflix recently when I briefly had access to that service - it does make good lockdown 'comfort viewing' I find...maybe just because it's associated with my childhood, or maybe because, like the Sherlock Holmes stories that I also find have that effect, it is permated with the optimism of it's era?). But the hosts do a good job of recapping the episodes, which refershes what hazy memories I have. And they are just generally pleasant to listen to - I doubt I'd listen to this one if their voices/accents were less easy-on-the-ears . Also they are far from uncritical or fanboyish about the show, not failing to point out the ways it has dated. In fact the dated nature of the show seems maybe one of the more interesting things about it - nothing says more about an era than the way it imagines the future.
