Matinee Monday: Birdemic LIVE! (w/ "Weird Al" Yankovic)
"Weird Al" Yankovic helps Paul, Jason, and June break down the 2010 horror film, Birdemic: Shock and Terror, recorded LIVE at the Largo theater in Los Angeles. They dig into all the bad CGI, un-needed B-Roll, the Tippi Hedren “cameo,” and ponder if the environmentalism of this movie really works. Plus, special guest Whitney Moore (Nathalie) joins the crew to answer all their questions about the filming of this movie, including how she ended up auditioning for the film and what's the deal with that orange bathing suit. (Originally Released 02/28/2012)

Matinee Monday: After Earth (w/ Paul F. Tompkins)
Giant birds, weird wheelchairs, and ghosting are just some of the unbelievable things that are found in the 2013 Will & Jaden Smith vehicle After Earth. Paul F. Tompkins joins Paul, June, & Jason to discuss future British accents, an emotionless Will Smith, and animals that do nothing but kill. They also talk about the possible references to Scientology, a future with no doors & only a sword as a weapon, and June’s interpretation of what really happened in the birthday candles flashback scene. Jonathan Livingston Seagull LIVE!
The HDTGM crew are LIVE from the Beacon Theatre in New York to break down the 1973 tale of a rebellious young seagull who just wants to fly fast and ends up... in outer space?! Despite June insisting the movie made her feel "not well", they discuss Neil Diamond's nonsense soundtrack, Jonathan's whispery voice, the film's religious undertones, and much more. Plus, we hear compelling evidence that this film could be on the list of crimes committed by the Nixon administration.
Fall 2023 tour dates will be announced on Mon 9/25! Check hdtgm.com then for info.

Customer Reviews
HILARIOUS & insightful
Whether they love the movie or hate the movie your sure to come away with more than a few laughs and insightful critiques of the movie making process.
A decent laugh
This is a good podcast for a laugh, but they don’t approach the movies in any format or structure. It often amounts to shouting over each other which gets boring quickly.
What a Gem
I stumbled across this podcast only recently. Jason Mantzoukas’s Beetlejuice-like stare from within HDTGM’s thumbnail image was so mesmeric that I somehow found myself clicking on the link. Oh boy, I did not regret it. The show is great. Paul, June, Jason, and their guests mine wonderful comedy from the worst of Hollywood. Yet the hosts rarely answer the question they pose in the title, in part, I suspect, because they want to be kind to all those involved.
