1. Pass ATLS. 2. Listen to ICU Rounds.

Thanks so much, Dr Guy, for keeping me in touch with the critical care world while in a very rural hospital in South Africa. There's always something relevant to my day-to-day practice, and I recommend this podcast for any medical student or junior doctor with an interest in acute, critical care or emergency medicine. Great stuff.

Note that these podcasts have stopped late 2012, and the Dr Guy is now editing and hosting the iCriticalCare podcast from the Society of Critical Care Medicine - check it out!

Excellent to update/refresh knowledge & Understanding of Caring for Critically ill patients.

Although I have worked in a Surgical HDU for over 10years, by listening to these podcasts I have further developed my understanding of many critical situations which we all face on a daily basis. As a Registered Nurse, I find Dr Guy very easy to listen to, his topics well presented using good analogies which stick in one's mind. I listen to them when I am out walking and look forward not only to exercising my body but my brain at the same time! I have personally recommended these podcasts to colleagues. I
