I’m into true crime and stumbled across it as wanted to listen to coming in bed to help me sleep. He has a calming voice and love when he goes off on a tangent

I kind of stumbled on this show. Initially I was bothered by the carefree, comic treatment of some very sad and serious content. Now I love it. Seriously though- don’t broadcast the scripts without reading them first??

I religiously listen to this and Decoding the Unknown. I really like the tone of Simon’s voice and I find him sensitive to the more gratuitous parts which are sometimes included in the scripts. I find him funny when it’s appropriate to be, and enjoy the breadth of crimes covered by his various contributors.

I usually love this podcast. It is engaging, well written and Simon’s presenting style is entertaining and (when the subject matter isn’t too shocking/ gruesome) amusing. The Sherri Papini episode however seems to have been recorded using a new format. Unfortunately, this time Simon’s reading was impersonal and almost ‘cold’ in places. There was no into/outro and Simon’s famous tangents were missing. There are plenty of true crime podcasts out there, and until this episode CasCrim stood out among the others; I hope to goodness that this was just a blip or an experiment with a new format. Please don’t change the podcast Simon, if it loses its defining characteristic people will unsubscribe both from the podcast and the YouTube channel. Stay unique.
