Episode 80: How to Build an Exit-Ready Business That Runs Without You with Marina Passalaris

Welcome back to She's Making Millions, the podcast for powerhouse women ready to scale, lead, and build true wealth. If you're building a business designed for freedom, impact, and legacy, this is the space for you.     Summary & Show Notes Summary Twenty-five years ago, Marina started running conversations with teenage girls out of her own experience with anxiety, no business plan, no funding, just a felt calling. Today she runs Beautiful Minds Australia, a global family wellbeing experience business relocating its head office to Singapore, expanding into the US, and backed by a board that includes former Hollywood heavyweights. In this episode, Taylor sits down with Marina to unpack how a "passion project" became a 25-year, multi-country business that has never once failed to sell out an event  and why she believes AI will never be able to replace what she builds. They cover the real reason most businesses die around year five (and the five things Marina credits for lasting decades), how COVID permanently rewired her business model, why she deliberately never put her own name on the company, how she built a board of advisors who "terrify" her in the best way, and why she believes women are still far too scared to talk about money, exits, and big numbers out loud. Key Takeaways Why the events/experience economy is AI-proof. Marina explains why top VCs are pouring money into face-to-face, human-led experiences because families won't pay to connect with their kids via a robot host. The 5 pillars behind a 25-year business. Cash flow discipline, selling something people genuinely need, being relentlessly excellent, fixing mistakes fast, and hiring (and firing) well. Never name your business after yourself. Marina's early decision to keep her name off the brand  and off social media  was a deliberate exit strategy move. How to build a board that actually stretches you. Don't recruit people at your level, recruit people who terrify you a little. Build for the exit from day one. The difference between a "hobby" and a sellable business is whether you have a real number and a real plan. COVID changed who the business serves. Beautiful Minds pivoted from supporting kids alone to supporting entire families, recognising the trauma ripple effects of lockdown. Global expansion, real talk. Why Beautiful Minds moved its head office to Singapore and what the US go-to-market strategy actually looks like. The "tall poppy" problem. Marina and Taylor get candid about the backlash women face for talking about money and thinking big. About the Guest Marina is the founder and director of Beautiful Minds Australia, a family wellbeing experience company she built from a grassroots teen mental health workshop into a 25-year global business now headquartered in Singapore and expanding into the US. Beautiful Minds runs father/son, father/daughter, mother/son, mother/daughter and women's retreat experiences across Australia, including a new women's retreat at Soma in Byron Bay. 🔗 Links & Resources: Connect with Marina Passalaris https://beautifulminds.co/ https://www.linkedin.com/in/marinapassalaris/ Connect with Taylor: Follow She's Making Millions on Instagram:@shesmakingmillions Follow Taylor on Instagram: @taylor.victoriaa Subscribe to Taylor's YouTube Channel: Taylor Victoria Get your free 30-day GHL trial here: https://www.gohighlevel.com/shes-making-millions?fp_ref=level-up-outsourcing23 Keep growing with us Join the FREE She's Making Millions Skool community for monthly scaling challenges, worksheets, live Q&As, and bonus trainings Take the 2minutes free audit to find the number one bottleneck in your business Join other 499 women at our first-ever conference on November 15-17th at The Glasshouse, Gold Coast. Episode 79: The 3 Hiring Mistakes Killing Your Delegation (It's Not Their Fault, It's Yours)

Welcome back to She's Making Millions, the podcast for powerhouse women ready to scale, lead, and build true wealth. If you're building a business designed for freedom, impact, and legacy, this is the space for you.     SUMMARY & SHOW NOTES Summary After five years running an outsourcing agency and hearing every business owner's "deepest, darkest secrets," Taylor Victoria is naming the pattern she sees over and over: when hiring goes wrong, it's almost never the staff member's fault. In this episode, Taylor breaks down the three biggest mistakes business owners make before they even bring someone on  and gives you the exact fixes to build a team that actually performs. Key Takeaways 95% of the time, a bad hiring experience is the business owner's fault  not the staff member's. Mistake #1: No documented processes. If your workflows only exist in your head, your team can't replicate your standard. Taylor shares her whiteboard + sticky note method for mapping your marketing/sales process and fulfillment process, then turning each step into a Loom-recorded SOP. Mistake #2: Delegating tasks instead of outcomes. Telling someone "make 5 graphics and post them" isn't the same as giving them a KPI like growing followers by 50/month and engagement by 20%. Task-only delegation means your team never thinks about the result you actually want. The fix: Build a KPI tracking system that defines what's unsatisfactory, what meets expectations, and what exceeds them  so your team knows exactly how to win, not just how to stay afloat. Mistake #3: Not letting go of control. Especially common for creative founders. Micromanaging without SOPs or KPIs in place is a losing game  but once those two systems exist, Taylor says team performance improves dramatically. If it still doesn't, that's your signal to replace, not micromanage. The mindset shift: "Delegation isn't losing control, it's gaining freedom." Freedom just has a setup cost. 🔗 Links & Resources: Connect with Taylor: Follow She's Making Millions on Instagram:@shesmakingmillions Follow Taylor on Instagram: @taylor.victoriaa Subscribe to Taylor's YouTube Channel: Taylor Victoria Get your free 30-day GHL trial here: https://www.gohighlevel.com/shes-making-millions?fp_ref=level-up-outsourcing23 Keep growing with us Join the FREE She's Making Millions Skool community for monthly scaling challenges, worksheets, live Q&As, and bonus trainings Take the 2minutes free audit to find the number one bottleneck in your business Join other 499 women at our first-ever conference on November 15-17th at The Glasshouse, Gold Coast. Episode 78: How Women Entrepreneurs Can Become Paid Speakers Using Storytelling with Jacqueline Brooker

Welcome back to She's Making Millions, the podcast for powerhouse women ready to scale, lead, and build true wealth. If you're building a business designed for freedom, impact, and legacy, this is the space for you.     Episode Summary & Show Notes Summary Taylor sits down with speaker coach, trainer, and 10-year industry veteran Jacqueline Brooker for a masterclass in public speaking  from her unexpected origin story (a one-hour-notice keynote in front of 200 people) to the exact frameworks she now teaches women who want to speak professionally or use speaking as a platform to scale their business. They cover why confidence is a variable but evidence is stackable, the "engine room" structure behind every unforgettable talk, the two biggest mistakes women make on stage, and how to generate six and seven figures from speaking without ever pitching from the podium. Key Takeaways Confidence is a variable, but evidence is stackable. You don't need to feel ready, you need small wins you can stack, one on top of the other. The "engine room" is where you get remembered. Open in story (15–25% of your talk time), then deliver your most valuable, actionable content in the middle  peppered with micro-stories to keep the energy up. The two biggest mistakes women make when speaking for revenue: (1) leading with your idea and experience instead of the problem you solve, and (2) the "accidental apology"  , anything that opens with "sorry, I'm nervous" that trades your authority for the audience's sympathy. "Be so good they come to find you." Outbound gets you in the room; being exceptional is what gets you rebooked, referred, and paid. The FSD (First [Shitty] Draft) rule. Your first speech in the market doesn't need to be perfect, it needs to hit oxygen so you can learn how it actually lands. You can generate serious revenue without selling from the stage. Jacqueline's "convert loop" framework threads your methodology through the story so people run to you afterward  no pitch required. Use AI to research, not to write. Jacqueline recommends deep-research tools like Claude or Perplexity to find speaking opportunities  but never to draft your actual speech, pitch, or outreach emails. About Jacqueline Brooker Jacqueline is a speaker, coach, and trainer working with two types of clients: women who want to become paid professional speakers, and women who want to use speaking as a platform to grow their business. Before this chapter, she was a CEO in traffic control and mining services, an industrial relations negotiator, and ran a multi-million-dollar family business she took over from her mother at 29. 🔗 Links & Resources: Connect with Jacqueline Brooker https://businessofspeaking.com.au/ https://www.instagram.com/businessofspeakinghq/ Connect with Taylor: Follow She's Making Millions on Instagram:@shesmakingmillions Follow Taylor on Instagram: @taylor.victoriaa Subscribe to Taylor's YouTube Channel: Taylor Victoria Get your free 30-day GHL trial here: https://www.gohighlevel.com/shes-making-millions?fp_ref=level-up-outsourcing23 Keep growing with us Join the FREE She's Making Millions Skool community for monthly scaling challenges, worksheets, live Q&As, and bonus trainings Take the 2minutes free audit to find the number one bottleneck in your business

Episode 76: How to Grow 100K TikTok Followers in Eight Months with Miss Adile Hoxha

Welcome back to She's Making Millions, the podcast for powerhouse women ready to scale, lead, and build true wealth. If you're building a business designed for freedom, impact, and legacy, this is the space for you.     📝 Show Notes & Episode Summary Episode Summary: Taylor sits down with content creator and feminine embodiment coach Miss Hoxha, who went from teen mom to a 100,000-follower TikTok account in under nine months  and accidentally became a viral TV personality in Albania along the way. In this episode, Miss Hoxha breaks down exactly what it takes to escape "200 view jail," build a content strategy that doesn't rely on posting three times a day forever, and why personal branding isn't mandatory for every business. She also gets into the feminine, somatic side of content creation: how to access intuition, work with your cycle instead of against it, and stop burning out trying to force content on days your body isn't having it. Key Takeaways: 🔑 The TikTok algorithm rewards clear signals  keywords in your caption, on-screen text, spoken hook, and even your cover image all tell the algorithm who to show your content to. 🔑 Getting out of "200 view jail" is less about luck and more about hygiene: hooks in the first 3 seconds, a dialed-in bio, and consistent posting. 🔑 You don't have to post three times a day forever  batch content when you have energy, bank it, and pull from the bank on low-capacity days. 🔑 A personal brand is a choice, not a requirement  plenty of multi-six and seven-figure businesses are built on conferences, LinkedIn, referrals, and email instead of Instagram/TikTok fame. 🔑 Working with your cycle (scheduling outward, creative work around ovulation and protecting downtime during your luteal/menstrual phase) protects both your content quality and your energy. 🔑 Somatic grounding practices  hand on chest, deep breath into the body  can quiet the "racing mind" and reconnect you to intuition before big decisions or content creation. 🔗 Links & Resources: Connect with Adile Hoxha https://www.instagram.com/miss_hoxha/   Connect with Taylor: Follow She's Making Millions on Instagram:@shesmakingmillions Follow Taylor on Instagram: @taylor.victoriaa Subscribe to Taylor's YouTube Channel: Taylor Victoria Get your free 30-day GHL trial here: https://www.gohighlevel.com/shes-making-millions?fp_ref=level-up-outsourcing23 Keep growing with us Join the FREE She's Making Millions Skool community for monthly scaling challenges, worksheets, live Q&As, and bonus trainings Take the 2minutes free audit to find the number one bottleneck in your business
