Season 2 Episode 24 - Millie May Tillyer

Episode 62 is here and what a brilliant conversation this was. Joining me this week is PGA Professional Millie May Tiller, and let me tell you, Millie has the kind of personality that can brighten anyone’s day. Her energy is infectious, and I came away from this podcast in such a good mood. Millie started golf at a very young age thanks to her parents, especially her mum, who played a huge role in introducing her to the game and supporting her journey. We don’t go too deeply into it, but losing her mum has undoubtedly had a huge impact on Millie’s life. Despite that, she continues to make her mum proud through everything she achieves, both on and off the golf course, including raising money for charity in her honour. While that experience affected her competitive side for a period, don’t let that fool you. Millie may be enjoying her golf more than ever, but she’ll still do everything she can to beat you on the course. We chat about:  Competing from a young age  Turning professional at just 18  What’s in the bag  Her favourite golf courses she’s played — and yes, somehow she picked my home course in Scotland!  Her partner Jack, who is also a PGA Professional (loser does the dishes for a week after their matches)  Starting her own business and taking a gamble on herself  Our shared love of JCB and how Kate, Millie and myself are apparently buying a tractor just to get an invite All this and plenty more. Make sure you give Millie and her partner Jack a follow if you're looking for lessons. For business enquiries, Millie’s email is below, and you’ll also find details of the golf course she’s affiliated with. Go and give them a follow, like and share and let them know I sent you. https://www.instagram.com/milliemaytillyer https://www.instagram.com/jackeatongolf_?igsh=MTVzNmE3cWJ4YnI5dA== https://www.instagram.com/woolstonmanor milliemay.media@gmail.com Huge thanks as always to Shot Scope for supporting the podcast use code CHASINGPARS for 15% off   Like  Share  Subscribe  Tell a golf mate Stay safe Stay humble Stay blessed  #ChasingPars #GolfPodcast #PGAProfessional #WomenInGolf #TheBigGolfRace

Season 2 Episode 16 - PGA Pro Craig Dickie

From a less-than-ideal start in football to a later route into golf, Craig’s journey to becoming a PGA professional is anything but typical  and that’s exactly what makes this such a great listen. Come hear Craig talk me through his unusual path into the game, how his goal was always to become a teaching pro, and how he’s now living that ambition every day. We get into:  His route into coaching and life as a PGA pro  WITB — including the brand deal with the company that should apparently never be mentioned   Why everyone should seriously consider a 7 wood  The range he works from and what day-to-day coaching looks like There’s also plenty of opinion in this one:  A proper rant about outdated club rules around ladies and juniors  Golf attire grievances  Why golf still feels behind the times in some areas  The rise of online coaching platforms like Skillest And of course, we finish with This or That and plenty more chat along the way. A brilliant conversation and one that definitely left me looking forward to getting a match arranged with Craig this summer.
